How soon can you can access your sponsorship application online.  I couried my sponsorship application on Aug 21, 2009 to Mississauga.  Received confirmation that it was delivered on Aug 24, 2009.  When is the good time to access my application.

The other problem is that I did not realize that I had to pay both a fee for sponsoring and processing application, hence I first made a payment for $150 ($75 x 2) and then later made the other $150 ($75 x 2).  Therefore I ended up with 2 receipt numbers for the total of $300. Will I be able to access the application using either.

Please somebody let me know.  Thanks

not sure to be honest, I am in a similar situation, I sent my application (spousal sponsorship) on Aug 18, and via Canada post it was delivered on Aug 21.

My app was Inland to vegreville, does anyone have any idea as to how long that can take to get e-cas or how long i might wait before i hear anything back?

Thanks!

You should be able to access ECAS now with your receipt numbers, but it won't say anything, it will say that it can't find your details on the system, or something like that.  They only update ECAS once they have started processing your file, literally opening it up and that will only happen after the 'current processing time', see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#perm_res.  In other words, if it has 43 days processing time in Mississauga, then you will (likely) have to wait 43 days after it was delivered on 24 August, to see ANYTHING (about your file) updated on Ecas.

I'm not sure how your payments came to only $300 though?  You came up with a very odd number there, it should be more like $1,040, breaking that down: $75 for the application, £490 for the PR and $475 for the applicant, non??  Nowhere near $300 I'm afraid but I could stand corrected....?
Fees calculator is here  https://services3.cic.gc.ca/efee/efee.do?lang=en

I am sponsoring 2 orphaned children.  I originally miscalculated sponsorship fee 2 x $75 ($150) and processed an online payment and then later realized that I was supposed to 2 x $75 for dependents under 22 per applicant.  The children are minor and therefore excepted from permanent resident fee.  My dilemma is that I have 2 receipts.  In reference to processing times at Mississauga, mine application should be priority...hence should processed the same day it is received... if I got the timeline correct.  I have tried several times to access E-Cas using either receipt numbers as I paid my fees online.  I hope that explains my situation.  Thanks
