Since you are approaching thru a consultant they will tell you wat docs are required for filing your papers. If you are applying under regular process you need to submit most of your docs at the beginning and if you are applying under simplified process you will be asked for the docs later.Once you send your docs CIC will access your application and if everything is fine you will be given a case number....Then you got to wait cos it's a long term thing and with time they will ask for inputs that you need to provide.

Regards,
