Hi All,

I had applied to SAIT for a 2 year Diploma course in IT / Telecommunications Major but was rejected because of my school grades in Math. They suggested I do a Math upgrade through academic upgrading and I applied for the september intake but did not make it because i thought it best to renew my passport before it expires in Feb 2010. I will get my passport soon and want to know what my chances would be to get the student permit to do upgrading from Jan 2010 for which i have a letter of acceptance to August 2010 when it ends which is 8 months. After which i will apply for the 2 year diploma.

Has anyone encountered any problems on upgrading ? Does anyone see any issues ?

I ask because i havent received my passport yet and may not receive it till end of october. that gives me 1 shot at Jan 2010 intake and I am really worried about this.

I am currently in Canada on a visitors visa, I visit my parents and brother every year. They are canadian citizens and my brother and mother work and pay their taxes, my father is retired. I have visited Canada many times before. I come from Africa, Kenya in particular.

All comments and advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Sam
