i'm sorry, they r very slow, their timeline is currently 27 months this thread has a few people with timelines, to have an idea but in general the ones applying though AD r very quiet :

since July 2009 u didn't get any updates at all?? no AOR, or request for additional documents? did u order the CAIPS notes and find anything useful there?

i just want to have an idea abt how this embassy works and why they r so slow since we might apply through them too

Additional Documents requested and sent - Nov2009.
Sent the documents through FedEx, I have confirmation that this has been received by the AD office.
Presently : W-A-I-T-I-N-G

Did not ask for the CAIPS notes.

My recommendation, if given a chance, do not apply from AD.....i dont know how you'll do this, but dont.

You should contact your MP! it's not normal that you haven't heard in 9 months...have they asked you to re-do your medicals?

actually for abu-dhabi it is; i did hear of more cases like this, one got the visa after 25 months!!! i don't say it's normal of what they do and for sure it's best to try to see at what stage ur file is, but u r not the only one

I've been through this waiting game through Abu Dhabi Visa Office and its not a good experience after all.

My wife applied in March 2009 its been in process in Abu Dhabi from July 2009...lots of sad experience in between before i got my visa in September 2010.

If your medical already expired they will send you a mail by post containing forms to be given to the designated medical practitioner in UAE of your choice.

Too bad from 18mo's processing its now 27mo's? whheeww good luck to all i hope you got LOTS of patience.

Note: always make sure you sent them email everytime you send documents they requested. Tell them you send it on this date with proof. Send through a courier with tracking number so you have proof when it was delivered to them. I had experience documents they lost so I resend them again causing delays.

 ( Hi guys, sorry to say that my PR file was processed in Abu Dhabi and got my PR two and half years back after waiting and waiting for 3 years.
I wonder, still Abu Dhabi is on thier snail's pace!!!.

Finally, got called for an interview 15/11/2011.
All went well, and was given forms and asked to do my medicals again.
Now what?
