You are right the new system will cause more borrowing to happen, of course that specific issue is likely to be policed with a lot more vigour.

No matter what the government says, what they are actually trying to do is limit immigration, because that request for a reduction is a common thread amongst cradle Canadians.

Hi Ballo,
I agree with you. They are trying to limit immigration. That is true. They keep saying background check and so on, it is only a pretext. What about those who will get Visa in about 6 to 8 months, i am talking about the post 2010 applicants , how have they finished their background checks so fast? They have issued medical to them and also ppr, can you imagine.

Well life goes on , i just want to know what is happening , so that i can make other plans. Life continues  even out of Canada.

Hope someone can give their feedback,

I tried to apply for FWS1 , some of my friends advice me to apply only for my self cause i dont have enough money in my account its just for one person only, but when the CIC officer check my application they changed it to 3 persons including my spouse and son. and i declared 12,000 canadian dollar only and not for 3 persons. is it possible to apply even though your money is not enough for 3 persons? Or do i need to enclose a letter stating that i can earned that specific amount because i am currently working in canada.?

Thank you

hi leigh - If you have a spouse and child, your application has to be for all 3, unless you intend to remain separated; you cannot sponsor them later if you remove them from your application, and have to have signed statements to that effect.  And, for 3 people to be eligible, you must have the appropriate amount for proof of funds (e.g the amount for 3 people).  If you don't have it, you really are not eligible.

How long have you been working in Canada?  After 2 years, you may be eligible under the Canadian Experience Class, there is no proof of funds requirement for that program...

But he was suppose  to declare them as non accompany members and can sponsor them later. the visa officer has not right to change the number of persons on your application. It is my first time to hear it.

Well i have no idea why he did it.

You have to show POF for all family members. In your case for 3 persons. It doesn't matter whether you tick the accompanying box or the other one.
