Hi all,  Still I am waiting for Passport request.

I have query regarding passport submition for me and my spouse.
I am on H1B in the USA colorado.
If I got passport request but my wife now in the India and I am in the USA.
can she submit passport in India, she is not planing to come USA atleast for 6 to 8 months, becasue her H4 visa is under Administrative process. so, US consulate told her atleast wait for 6 to 8motnhs. admin process take time may be year.
now my status is medical recieved by visa office.
so, if she is not in the USA so she can submit passport in India New Delhi visa office?
once visa issued I will immedietly move to Canada within 1week without wait and my wife will join me after 1month and once we get canadian visa we dont care about her H4 renewal.
your input will help us to know the process. please even guide me if any process I have to follow.

Hi Mukund,

Where is your PP now? if its with you, then how will you send it to India?
Because sending the PP though courier is illegal as per the Indian law.

I am talking about for my wife, I know we can not send our PP in courier of by post.
my wife is in india applied for H4 visa renewal and stuck there becasue of admin process, the US consulate issued 221g to wait for 8months atleast for H4 renewal.
I am in the USA , I will send my PP to Buffalo but what about my wife? she can submit her PP at ND VO. and I can submit my PP at buffalo VO.

No , i doubt. Better to send an email to your VO in Buffalo and see what they tell you.

1.  New Delhi will not stamp your wife's passport.
2.  She or someone you trust will have to hand carry the passport to the US.  The person carrying it will require an authorization to carry it.  After the visa is issued, you will have to find a way to get it back to India.
