Hi,
i am planning to apply for canada immigration very soon. i am currently in US. i have 2 questions.

1 -  can someone tell me the link (URL) where it shows, how much fund (bank statement) we need to show. i cannot find it.

2 - is Birth certificate a requirement for Canada Immigration? incase we dont have birth certificate from original country of birth, is there any other doc we can submit in place of birth certificate?

thanks

The list of funds is at http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

I don't know about the birth certificate though.

I am not an immigration lawyer nor do I work for immigration. I do not have the powers to speed up your application nor can I get you an AEO, LMO, job, house, puppy or anything else.

Here are your answers:

1) Please look at the following link for proof of funds

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

2) I understand birth certificate is a requirement. You can try getting it from the municipal corporation, hospital where u were born.If nothing works I guess you can provide school certificate where your birth date is mentioned. An affidavit might support, your passport is another proof cos it has the birth date on it and it is considered a legal doc. You can support ur date of birth with n number of docs, it is difficult to know if they will get back with queries.Do try to substantiate with valid justification and they might oblige.I come from a country where my original birth certificate is in the native language so I got an affidativ to support it and converted the whole thing in english. I don't know if it wud work but I hope it does.

Regards,
