A new possible theory on timing

Mridula, Raven and others being stalled.
I have a new idea that might make sense in reading Egypt's post about expiring medical.
Since they asked for my husband's new medical and police check back at the beginning February, which were both done and dated the first and second week of Feb., those will both expire in the first couple of weeks in August. You would THINK they would be finished with this "final review" (I mean, REALLY, just how LONG does it take to read through a file) which has so far been 3 months. They can't let those new documents expire yet again while they are taking so long to finish. I'm SURE they are "making" the timing be so that they will come up with the PR Visa to coincide with near to the end of the medical an police check validation period, and also the 2 year anniversary of when I submitted our application. Also early Aug 2006.
I can hope I guess.

Dear LCS,
It's a good idea except - they absolutely can let the documents expire and ask you to do them again. Because as if we won't. They have us under their thumbs. They say jump and we say "we'd thought you'd never ask".
In our case, they asked for karim to redo his police checks (his medical was still valid at the time) and now those have definitely expired - and obviously still no visa. We requested the medical papers from Rabat and Karim's redoing it this week. It's a gamble for sure, but I just don't want to to wait when they call for his visa. And frankly, we'll give up and move to a different country if this thing doesn't wrap up soon.
On a related note: aren't medicals good for one year?

ohhh I thought everything was for 6 months, oh well, maybe it is a year. I don't blame you for wanting to leave. I've thought of it but have too many obligations and commitments here at the moment. I sure think EVEN less of the Gov't of Canada than I did even before this process, and that's not saying much.

Medical is valid for one year but police clearance is for six months only.
