A New Adventure, A New Life and New to this - Please help

Hello My name is Lucy and I'm from the UK. I am currently finishing my Degree in computing and well, I think there is more to the world than the UK and would like to build a career and experience Canada. I understand it will not all fall into place for me straight away and I believe it will be extremely hard work. My partner works for the Police as an officer and would like to carry on his career if we were to move to canada. We are both young I'm 22 he is 27. We have both done alot  and would love an adventure that could be amazing. Please help me (naive) and give me some tips!! sorry for being a bit dreamy and maybe not very clear. Im totally new to this, its not like booking holidays lol.
