Hi Quorax,

I'm trying to get your opinion being our master in this forum.  As of this moment im patiently waiting for my PPR.  OUr Med result was forwarded to CEM sometime in may 19, 2011 (according to DMP's secretary). But im anxious now because of the medical result of my husband, there was an amendment to his x-ray result because we failed to bring old x-ray films which they can compare the new x-ray.  Before amendment, his x-ray shows there's a present infection, and the amendment (with the old x-ray, this is done in the following day) the findings was changed to "NO significant change".  As a backgrounder, my husband was having a chest tube drainage 20 years ago due to ephyema thoracis (pus accumulation in his pleura - lungs). In year 2005, my husband was treated 6 months for TB infection. During the medical exam medical certificates issued by the doctor who performed the chest tube drainage, and the doctor who prescribed the 6 months TB treatment, were provided to DMP for reference.

Is the medical result of my husband may be a ground for inadmissibility?  So far, my e-cas status todate shows still in process.  Thank you Quorax...

I have sent mr original documents to the canadian embassy in skilled worker class but unfortunately my case got rejected. Although I've got the refund but haven't received my original documents yet. I m very worried please can anybody tell me Will they send my documents and whom should I approach for this procedure.
Thanks

Usually the 'original' IELTS & Educational docs r returned... by 6-8 months. U could write to your VO for expediting that.

Firstly Relax! That precondition of your hubby is not a medical inadmissibility issue.

He's likely to have a med furtherance... the letter is likely to arrive by 8-10 weeks... then his sputum culture would be done [ @ the same DMP's location]... it takes 8-10 weeks to observe & report [by the DMP].

As the med furtherance report reaches the RMO - they take again another 3-6 weeks to 'second' that -- and then the PPR is issued, with a 'medical surveillance form'.

U 'land' & visit the nearest Health Canada clinic [dealing with such cases]... they further take additional tests [similar to the ones u already took with the furtherance] - and issue u an 'all clear' cert.

That's about it. U would have some delays... but wouldn't be denied.

Good luck!

Dear Qorax,
I need an information regarding passport validity. At the time of receiving PPR what should be the minimum validity of passport?
Can passport office renew the passport few months before it expires?
How long early we should renew passport?

Hope you got my point.

Thanks

1. There's no minimum validity requirement while submitting the pps [after PPR]. The only requirement is that the pps r undamaged, w/out any loose pages & has @ least 2 empty pages. But note: It'd be in your interest to have max validity, 'coz the PRVs would expire on the date the the pps expire, if it's earlier than 1yr. from the meds.

2. Yes, u can renew your pps from the nation's consulate/pp office by 6 months before its expiry.

Hi Qorax,

Thanks for your good work. I need some advice from you.

We had our medical done on 5.1.2011. The Right of Landing fee was encashed on 28.2.2011. Then they asked for new Police Certificates and updated IM0008 and background declaration forms (stage 1). These documents were received by them on 22.3.2011. Eversince , we have not heard from them. When should we expect to receive our PPR request? (Processing office: London)

Thanks for above answer Qorax.  But I still have an ambiguity.

1- The PRVs would expire on the date the the pps expire, if it's earlier than 1yr. from the meds?
2- Can we use valid PR on expired passport with re-newed passport?

Dear Qorax,

In case of re applying - Can we request CIO to consider our old IELTS scores to assess language proficiency if those are still valid and lying at VO offices in files awaiting their turn for processing?

You know if this can be granted it can save time and money as well....

Cheers
