1. The CAD draft will be drawn on "Receiver General for Canada" & would be payable    @    a bank in Canada.
2. No other application is required if it isn't been asked.
3. I haven't understood your other queries. Pls elaborate.

Dear Qorax,

FYI .. yesterday my e-cas changed to In-Process.

Thanks for your support till now.

1. 5.5  @  W : ditto as replied above.
2. Address 'mischief': happens with concurrent case files - when the 'older' one is reviewed - it plays the old tune.

The "best time" is always NOW, if u meet the current regulations... 'coz, no one knows what shape the new policies could take.

Hi, People...
I'm new on this site, and it is quite exciting how much information there is out there about this Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Migrant Programme....It's so nice to know I am not alone out here..
I submitted my application for the Federal Skilled worker immigration programme by courier on Thursday, May 26th 2011, from Lagos Nigeria, but I am yet to get any reply whatsoever from CIC.
My questions are these:
1. How do I know my application has been received and placed in processing?
2. How long does it take CIC to contact me about my application?
3. How soon can I start getting worried and chewing at my fingernails if I don't hear or see anything?
4. Are there any Nigerians on this forum who submitted their applications after June 26th 2010, and have already gotten a response about their application? I will like to meet them, so they can educate me on processing and waiting times.

Thanks...

Hi Qorax

With the blessings of God and help of this great forum, I managed to get the PR visa. Now my question is :

My wife is the principle applicant and I am the co-applicant.  Can my wife go alone now to settle first as I can not go (being not the principle applicant) and find the job and accommodation and then later on we can join her or it is must that we all land together. Please advice so we can make our plans

Thanks in advance for invaluable advices

Yes, it's the prerogative of the PA to 'land' first - if not with all or some of the dependents.
But, would u allow that? Letting your wife struggle all alone in a new land?

Think about it...

Today i checked in detail the documents recieved from CHC
I found missing my experience letters also alongwith Police certificates and IELTS.
Can any respectable person of this forum can guide me that why they returned only acedemic documets.

I think answer for this question will also be informative for the other memebers of this forum

Hi All,

Have been seeing this forum quite a long time and evaluated some of good experience guys.

I am planning to file Quebec immigration under skilled category, just want to get advice on whether one shud go thru lawyer or its best to file by our own.

1. What do you think lawyer could be helpful.

2. I am on L1 Visa from India since Oct 2009, My question is what will happen to my visa once i activated my PR status in Canada , Can i come back on this same job here, will this visa from india valid or not.

3. Is Quebec has some laws, stating under skilled worker one has to stay in Quebec for number of years like 3 to retain PR status or can move anywhere just after landing. As intent mentioned in the application would be to stay in quebec. Same goes with citizenship?

4. Do we have some french courses around here in US for fast learning as basic.

Thanks a lot in advance.
