Today its Tuesday & my ecas still says " In-Process" after 56 days no reply. I have send the email through consultant but no-reply. They have not given any feedback as of now.
I have applied through mormal in 2008, so what could be the reason of delay? How many days they take for security check after the PPS are received? What should ido?
Kindly advise, asi am in the middle of everything.....so confused and depressed.
Please help.

Sir Qorax,
I have got PR for self and family. Many thanks for your guidance to many, the crux of which helped me also manage my process. Just one question... I have to carry 20.6k CAD with me which I have. I am travelling alone on 26th of this month... and my family would follow later. Do I need to carry the entire money right now, or in proportion to 1 member as only I am going right now... and then the balance can be brought by my wife + kids. The only reason I am asking this is cos interest rates are higher in India and I'll benefit in some money. Please guide. Regards Dinesh

Proof of 'Landing' Funds: --- Is it necessary to carry the P.O.F. while 'Landing' ? 100%. A part of the 'Record of Landing' "Interview" is to ensure 'sustainability' in Canada by the applicant. The IO must ensure that you carry enough funds [based on LICO] which will help you settle easily, w/out any burden on Canadian Social Services. Remember, except for 'refugees' under the Refugees Protection Act, Canada doesn't offer financial assistance for any other categories of applicants.
Irrespective of the no. of family members performing the 1st landing, the entire POF [as per the chart above] must be shown to the IO at the POE. Subsequent 'landings' by the 'accompanying dependents' do not need to show the POF.
That means, whether the PA alone or one or more of his family members are 'landing' for the 1st time, the above funds are required. It's another matter whether the IO at the POE doesn't ask for it [very often that happens]. But, w/out the POF our entry can be 'Denied'. ---

If u haven't recd it yet [with that issuance date] I'd assume it was not mailed at all [yet] by ur VO... probably they've notified the RMO to issue the IMM1017S but is awaiting the 'queue', or it's lying with the despatch section. Usually mails of CIC do not get lost unless the postal services of the receiving nation is bonkers. U may, now, send ur IO another query for the non-receipt... and see what s/he suggests/responds. Hi, I'd assume u r a FSW applicant with CHC-London. In which case ur pps r 'suposed' to return [stamped] by 4-6 weeks [thru CHC-Adh via Aramex] after submission under PPR. Obviously u r [tad] delayed but not overwhelmingly... pls wait till 8-10 weeks [yes, it is observed that some cases took addnl time due to their pps scrutiny] and then enquire. God speed! Qorax
