I commend you for the effort in making this thread, I'm grateful that I came across this post at my time of need.

Sir, I recently received back my passport with the visa stamp and COPR, I'm currently here in Canada (work permit) and planning of landing at one of the land border crossing down south of Calgary. My questions are:

1. How do I classify the jewellery in our possession at this time, do I put them under GTF or GACC?
2. We are planning of going for vacation this Autumn to attend a wedding thus bringing the jewellery, do I have to present the GTF or GACC list before we fly out, do I need a stamp or anything to confirm that we had this jewllery with us here in Canada?
3. On our arrival, do we have to declare again this jewellery, do we need to show the CBSA the list with their stamp?

I appreciate your kind input with regards to the above queries.

It doesn't matter which form u get endorsed with those jewelleries. As long as u have one [stamped by the CBSA] u r always safe. While every entry, if u r carrying those ornaments, u must have that stamped B4 in possession.

Dear Quorax

I landed at Pearson last week. The process was exactly as you described (thanks a lot for all the information given)
During the last step of my landing, the custom officer asked me for the GTF format (B4)
When I gave it to him, he mentioned that the Jewelry part was not correctly filled (I put there some ornaments that really not classify as Jewelry and I did not have invoices or  certificates of those items)
The officer recommend me to fill again the format and to present it the next time I will enter Canada (I told him that I will be in Canada with my family for only for 2 weeks and then we will return to our country and will move definitely to Canada by the end of August)
The officer recommended me to present this format in the definitive landing.
As I know the GTF format is required to be presented in the first landing and now I do not know what to do. Is it possible that my B4 can be rejected next time?
Do you have any recommendation?

Regards and god bless you

If u renew ur pps u could have an extra 1-month of PR visa validity & land till 26 Apr-13. Else, u'd get it for Mar-13 expiry.

Thanks a lot. This eased tension.

Dear Qorax,

Could you please help me with PCC doubt.

CHC has asked for RECENT PCC from all countries. We have already submitted original French PCC at the time of full documents submission. We have not visited France after that, do we have to still submit fresh French PCC or can just submit recent Indian PCC & send them with the explanation ?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Qorax,

We are planning to complete our landing formalities in July second week. I have a query. If the PA does not stay in Canada for the stipulated period to apply for citizenship can the accompanying family members apply for citizenship on their own by completing their period of stay in Canada? Or is it mandatory to apply for citizenship as a family?

Hi,

Congrats!

But I seriously couldn't/wouldn't know that.

Qorax
Ps.: Any activity on the file ['work' process] generally takes 3-months.

Dear Qorax
I have a similar case & I would like to share it with U , to gain UR experience
our application was refused 30/03/2012 cause the visa officer didn't grant Us 5 points for relative in Canada, we ended up scoring 65/100 ,  I did send my sister PR Card  health card & her passport , I think they lost the docs concerning this regard ... Do U have any idea if anything can be done ...
My thoughts that the Visa Officer would request additional documentation to verify and confirm our relation in Canada??? & not to jump to refusal... It is frustrating . Also the officer mentioned that My husband didn't convince him/her that he would be economically established in Canada. While I have experience in banking and he is a doctor
Of course this happened cause I did go through all the application process by myself .. No representative and no logging into similar forums as this one...
I Just can't believe that a stupid invoice and a copy of birth certificate would cost me that much
Do U think a reconsideration letter will be effective taking into consideration the case was refused 30/03/2012 & whether it is late??  I already wrote a reconsidration letter along with a cover letter and some documents,  can U share any ideas to be included in this letter Huh & whether it will be considered  and what can I do to make it happen
P.S My mail adress is a post office mail adress  & post office don't inform us with the mail reguraly , should I elobrate that to defend being late

My husband is the main applicant
NOC 3112 Family Physician.
File Sent to CIO Feb/2010
CIO transferred case to London Apr/2010
Sent full docs July/2010
Refusal Letter 04/2012

Thanks for the help... Sorry for inconvenience.

U, probably, didn't submit "all" the docs to justify ur adaptability claim. The requirements r mentioned in my thread for 'proof of relatives'. If u could submit those now, with a suave 'reconsideration plea' they might have a relook at ur file, but it's not a guarantee. In any case u had 30-days to do so, from ur rejection; and 60-days to apply for a judicial appeal.

The regulation suggests that u submit 'all' the PCCs, afresh.

Dear Quorax,

I have big confusion. I am waiting for my medical. Have applied in June - 2010. Rightnow my status is "IN PROCESS" from 15th May - 2012.

Now, problem is my old company where i was working has closed. now i m jobless and the contact nos. which i had given are out of service or not exist. landline nos...  mobile no. is workin of my boss.

now, what should i do??  will they refuse my application if they will not able to contact on landline phone??

or they will call on mobile of my boss?

and, if i get new job now with same job duties, then should i update now at this point of time with my new company details with contact nos??

And, i have also changed my home s contact no. so should i give mobile no. as personal contact no. in place of landline no?Huh

please tell me what should i do at this stage as it s now high time if i do anything and tht can spoil situation so i m worried....

Pl. reply Quorax.

Dear Qorax,

Needs ur urgent guidelines......I am waiting for my PPR since last 3 months after completing my Medicals......as a matter of fact on medical request they didn't asked me the POF. According to my Caips notes...V.O quote that......PA is claiming 23400 CAD in Bank acount noXXXX, Original bank letter and account summery and 6 months statements are on file.LICO appears met....
My query::::
as a matter of fact i had to draw the amount to purchase a home here in Pak.so my account has nominal value of funds now.........I am just waiting for PPR so if they ask for POF again i ll submit that at once.......Am i doing the right thing?
according to LVO..my background checks are going on......so r they gonna check my account on their own in "background checks" or Background checks only means security or criminality checks???
** I have been replied with two of the forum members n they states that their accounts was never been varified after getting medicals till PPR stage.........So Dear sir, Pls waiting for ur kind guidelines?
Please reply ASAP.

1. After meds u've a rare chance of being asked for ur POF again.
2. If asked, u must have ur complete funds in ur a/cs, else u could face trouble.
