Dear Qorax jee,
Can you kindly advise on following. I would rather request you to please make a separate thread regarding Health and Medical Cover for Pregnant Women Landing in Canada under FSW scheme. I am struggling and not finding enough of information on following points
Pleasse guide
My husband is the principle applicant and we are on the final stage of our case. Hopefully we will get our visas by start/mid of july 2012.
As per profession and experience of my hubby, toronto/ON is the best choice to land in.
We are also expecting our baby in mid Nov. 2012 and concerned about health facility provision there in ON. What is best option we can have;
- Should we land together at the earliest ( say 01 aug ) wait for health card till 30 Oct and take the risk of three months without health cover.
- or Should we land together and I should return after couple of days back to h.country and return after few months of the birth (say next mar/apr)
- or Should I stay back home till the baby arrives and then fly in two months after the birth (will have visa till next apr '13)
Feel so tentative and nerves in absence of a clear information
Please help and write in detail
Thanks

allow my to share my opinion.

I don't think the idea of going back home and giving birth at your country of origin is a good idea. Why?
Because you will not be able to bring your new born child with you Canada due to the simple fact that s/he will not have a valid visa.
(you will have to make a fresh visa application for him/her).

you should either pay an insurance company to get coverage for the three months waiting period. Or land in a province that gives coverage from Day 1.

Dear Qorax,
According to the new update, London VO's processing for FSW is increased to 29 months. Is this calculated from my first application to Nova Scotia in 12/2009, or my 2nd AOR which is 07/2012?
Best,
Beckett
P.S. I know you are sick to death of this, but I'll risk it anyway...Am I not late in getting PPR? My meds were received 16/03/12....and I know, I know...you said it takes around 4 months, but I have seen others get it so much quicker. Those who did their meds April/May are getting PPRs. Anything wrong here?

hi qorax,

One of my friend has got an addl document request from ndvo...For her old passport

Now, she has an old passport which she wd send.  But, before this old passport she  had another old (2) passport which was issued when I she was in 8th grade (ant 22yrs back) ...and that too when she had a diff name, as she had got her original name changed to in 2000'...and the latest 2 passports are in this name only....

BUT, this old (2) passport she doesnt have it now and not even sure if it is misplaced most prob...So, :

1)   While sending her previous pp, should she proactively mention to NDVo that we had another old (2) pp when she was a school going and it is misplaced now ?
2)   Or, should not mention that so to not make things complicated ?
3)   Or, should try going to regional passport office and give them the old name and dob to make them try & search if that passport details come up...If yes, that means NDVo can cross check that too from RPO even without pp...and hence should mention that in a cover letter that dont have the old one...

Need help pls...

last time i got my CAIPS on 04-apr-2010 with BF date 15-10-2010

and after 2 years same CAIPS result just spouse name added without any details of spouse with BF date 15-02-2012.

my question is regarding your tread explaining BF date. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t39705.0.html

when BF date comes VO open file and if found some update regarding one factor required they also not process other factors.

and close the file for next BF date and until complete documents with updated information received then they start processing.

What you think about hot issue of Job duties mismatch now a days? in my case what you think VO sill didnt read my work experience or he is satisfied with JDs  and waiting for next step.?

and why no any future BF date mentioned in my case?

1. 2009 cases have a hibernation pd of 3-yrs as of now. Ur file'd come ourt of it around Jun-2012. Whereafter ur b/g checks would commence.
2. Since Isb-London transferee case have a separate & longer timeframe u might need to add a few more months.

Good luck.
Qorax

So, here now we are thing of doing some diploma of welder or plumber so that we qualify and can get migrated.
So, could you please provide me with your guidance that what kind of course will be better for me and what amount of related work experience do I need to put in? Also tel us about the institutional priority( can we go for private or we should for govt approved colleges only)
