dear qorax,
i have read a lot of your posts and i was so impressed with everything that you write because it is so informative. in my case , i have a different situation.. i have a long time common law partner but cahave not declared him with my application because i still do not have the finality of my annulment yet.. i might be questioned by the embassy if my marriage is not annulled yet.. my question is , if I get my PR and land in Canada and come back after I get the finality of my annulment can i marry him and sponsor him at once? or land in canada and sponsor him as my common law partner? which is better ? actually i was interviewed and was asked why my annulment application the same year as my application for my fsw2 application.. I submitted my annulment application last august2010, my application for canada was nov. 2010 but i have answered them honestly which is this is the only time that I got hold of the money for the fees.
I have been scanning the forum but i could not see the same situation that i have.
thank you very much. Have a wonderful day Smiley

Ma'am,

CIC doesn't acknowledge dual partners. Thus, till the time u have the judicial annulment decree - your 'virtual-Ex' continues to be linked to u. Once u 'land' & return to your homeland for that decree - u r free to whatever [with Canadian paperwork]. Yes, u can then 'sponsor' your CLP under FC stream... no issues there.

It was good that u were candid during the interview. Good job!

Dear Qorax,
Could you please also clarify this issue of many applicants getting 'in process' but having RBVO details inside?
So many getting this ecas status cannot be a mistake!
So what is the meaning of this. Do you think these applicants have been 'ear-marked' for processing quite soon?
Thanks,

What 'mistake' could it be? - they receive the case file & mark-it RBVO in CAIPS [ditto in the e-Cas, though both r not in sync]... that's a std procedure. As the file gets its 1st review by the IO - there'd be date log on the CAIPS... that's monitored & the e-Cas is updated as 'in process' - with RBVO or w/out...

'Coz, many a times the MIS guys might overlook to log RBVO [in the e-Cas] or simply the date they wanted to do so also had the IO's review notes - then they simply go for 'in process'.

Remember, IO's notes on CAIPS & the e-Cas updating aren't in sync.

Besides 'in process' denotes that work is "going-on", in the case file... so, that should be the only concern of ours - why break our ken on anything else?

Relax buddies !
Given some time - things would start looking well... it's a matter of time & 'patience' is the virtue of this process.
BTW, only then we'd understand the [real] value of the PRV - whenever it arrives !
And when it does, it'd take your breath away !!!
It'd be akin to your 1st kiss -- an all time High !
Then this gestation pd would seem too frivolous !

Keep the faith...

Thanks Captain Qorax!!!!

But, you mean I can use my married name in applying job, because my school credentials and work experience bears my married name?

Ma'am,

1.) What will i use in my SIN application? or any legal documents in canada since my passport is bearing my maiden name?
Ans: U'd use the 'only & same' name that's mentioned on your pps.

2.) What will use in my application for possible job ?
Ans: Anything whatsoever, including abbreviated names, viz Robert becomes 'ROB', Jaswinder becomes 'JAZ', and the like!!!

Good luck.

Dear Qorax,

As per my knowledge, PA can show spouse's  bank balance as POF (if spouse accompany).
Do you have any authentic source of this information?

Hi dear qorex,
I am unable to open my 2nd file number which was issued to me on April 14,2011,
since then I have been trying to open it but it does not work, my old file number is working and showing RVO detalis ,
Is it normal ,when will my new file number start showing the status?
Does old and New file numbers show the same details or there is difference in both showing the details?
waiting for response,
Ryan Niazi

Yes Dr.
POF can be clubbed with any or more dependent family member's a/cs; could also be held jointly or singly; and multiple investment products, whether the PAs or any one of his dependents or more, stand acceptable as well.

Give it some time & it'd stabilize. U'd get to better inputs with the 2nd file No.
