Dear Qorax

1. Actually She decided to get married this week.
2. She doesn't live with me, she have lived since 8 years old with her mom in a different country, I only inlcuded her because she was my dependent by that time, in the transition of my application, she turned 23 years old, she quitted school and now she decided to get married (living for a few months in a CLPR), and she doesn't have intentions to join me not now not ever at Canada, that is why I wonder if with her marriage certificate now they could waive her Medicals?HuhHuh? which I know if they ask me for that it will be a trouble for me since she could refuse to get medicals and it is out of my hands????please help!!!!?Huh?

"Decided" might not work. But when she does get wedded, obtain a copy of the marriage cert. and write to ur IO to "exclude her" from ur apps. Whereafter u r good to avoid her meds and move further.

Dear Qorax and other members

I want to share some informations regarding my passport and requesting some comments/advice from you.

I have done my medical on April 4, 2012 and waiting for PPR.

When we are sending our passport to CHC for visa stamping what are the instructions related to passport?
1) How long passport validity date should be? I heard it is 6 months.

- My wife's passport is expiring on Aug 2012 while my first child's on March 2013.

2) What about the photo attached with the passport? Somewher in this forum I read that s/he was asked by the CHC to update very old photo.

-In my case two of my kid's passport bearing the photos are at the age of one month as I had to take passport within one month of their birth. Now my first baby is 4 Y 3 M and 2nd one 1 Y 2 M of age. As they have grown up and their face is not same look-like compare to that photo attached with the pasport.

Based on the above consideration I have applied for new Machine Readable Passport(MRP) [our existing passports are hand written]  for my wife along with other 3 family members including me. I hope to get it within weeks.

- Will it be an issue at this stage?
-When should I inform London CHC about my new passport? Now or after getting the new and sending it through email/courier or I should wait untill PPR and directly send the new passport explaining the situation?

Your valuable comment is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Dear Qorax

Please guide

I mentioned an amount of $ 14000 (2 persons) to carry with myself in my application for permenant residence as required . Few months back i have been blessed by a child and then i  sent an updated form, required documents and applicale fee to LVO . unfortunetly i missed to increase the amount of carrying funds from $ 14000 to minimum $17500 as per CIC requirement (10 C of IM 0008).

CIC has revised the forms and now one additional colum has been added i.e total assets (10 a IM 008) where i have mentioned total assets amount . Please guide should this serve the purpose ,  should i wait for LVO reply on this ? or i inform LVO about this and send an updated form with revised value of Transferable amount ?

Hi Qorax,

I hope you could help.

My VO is Sydney , Australia.

When i applied under FSW in March 2011 ,my spouce and I were on a Bridging VISA here is Australia.

In May 2011 my spouce's  Permanent Risidency (for Australia) was refused becasue the ex employer gave wrong answers on the phone but there was no misrepresentation.

The reason given by the VO was " Not statisfied by your claim of having worked for XYZ" and we were given a chance to appeal but we didnt because we had already applied for Canada FSW.

After this I applied for Temporary Residency in Australia and it was approved. We are still in Australia.

I am awaiting PPR from Canada, " Medical Results have been received" line was added some 6.5 weeks ago.

I have just realised that we didnt update Canada of this Australian VISA refusal which happened after applying for the former.

What if  VO would checked with their Australian counterparts and found out that we have been refused PR by Australia hence cause concerns in security clearance ?

We are worried because it has been more that 3 months since we took the medicals and there is still no sign of PPR.

I have holidayed in 8 countries in my life though.

What do you think is going on behind the scene ? Do they check only security at this stage or are they also going to check whether we have any rejected Visas ?

Or could they have already checked visa refusals etc before the medicals.

Thanks in advance

It could be the ECU letter [the one which asks u wait for 6-12 months], or an ADR.
