Yes, address & contact No. changes should be intimated to the IO imdtly.
Thank you very much for the fast response Captain..However I would also like to ask if it is necessary to inform them of my current address since it is only indicated that I inform them for changes in MAILING ADDRESS/EMAIL... I am not changing my mailing address, since I want everything to be sent on my Philippines address and not on my address here in Bahrain and also I am not changing my e-mail address as well. I already sent an e-mail to the embassy regarding my update in mobile number. I do apologize for the inquiries since I just want to be sure. Again thank you very much.. Sushicat29

If the mailing add remains unchanged - there's no need to update the UK add.

Not necessarily, but can be taken as a "provisional approval" though.

Dear Qorax, I had written a Case Specific Enquiry to London VO about my status. My medicals were received at LVO on 16/03/12. My ecas has not been updated with 'Medicals received' line. I got the following reply today:
All required items have been received and we must now complete routine background checks. These are likely to take approximately 4 - 5 months.
MCH
Immigration and Medical Services Division
High Commission of Canada
38 Grosvenor Street
London W1K 4AA, United Kingdom
I have 2 questions: 1. Do you think the 4-5 months are from when they received my medical, or a further 4-5 months? 2. I thought the background checks are completed before the medical and security checks after the medicals. How come they are doing 'background checks' now? What do these checks entail? I am quite upset with this email, I don't know why. Others are getting their PPRs. Can you help me understand? Many thanks, Beckett.

Dear Quorax,
Request your valuable advise. I have 4 years of MNC experience in the Sales & Service sector and from the past 2 years i've been handling my father's business which is a small local printing unit. Now i'm planning to apply for the FSW visa & i'm not sure under which skilled category i can apply. Should I include or exclude my business experience? My prevous roles also included a bit of business analysis and people management if that helps. Coming to my education i'm a B.Sc graduate & i also have an SAP SD professional Certificate which is valid internationally and i'd like to know if i need to include my certification as well in education & would I be awarded any points for the same? Also one of the consultancies I approached said that i can apply under any skill and once i get the visa and land in Canada i can look for work in any other skill i'd like. Is that true? Thank you for your time and expert advise.
Regards, Shiva

Hi, 1. If u had been reading the posts of mine on this issue u'd've known... PPR typically takes 3-5 months from the submission of meds. 2. That's for security checks... CIC broadly calls everything as b/ground checks. There nothing to be "upset" about as yet... U aren't late. Qorax

Dear Qorax I need urgent assistance here! I did medicals 3 weeks ago. In my initial application I included my daugther who is living with her mother since 8 years old in a different country. By that time she was a full student and for intance I had to include her. She is now 23 years old, quitted school and living in a common-law-partner relationship. They also asked me for her medicals.......do you think if I send them a common-law-partner document for her, will they waive her medicals? ?? since she is not my dependant anymore. Right? Thanks a lot!!!!!!

Dear Qorax and Other forum members,
Please clear some of the doubts that I have regarding my GCMS notes which I received it today. The following was mentioned in the Notes section at the last pages of the GCMS notes as it contains total of 38 pages. I will paste the notes and it is given below PA-PLS REQUEST THE FOLLOWING document immediately: -Australian PCC for spouse PENDING: - REVIEW of Spouse's Australian PCC –PPTs(old&new) * 3 –MEDS * 3 –RPRF * 2 ____________ PA has PROVISIONALLY obtained sufficient points to satisfy me that he/she will be able to become economically established in Canada, on the condition of NO NEW ADVERSE INFORMATION. File pending verification for A.40, and/or possible interview or negative substituted evaluation.
1). What is meant by File pending verification for A.40?
2). What is meant by negative substituted evaluation?
Please clarify these questions for me and it is a kind request to all forum members that give your suggestions and ideas about my GCMS report.
Regards, Raj.
