Dear Qorax

Please give me a advice on the following situation:

I am doing a government job in Bangladesh. I applied to FSW category in May 2011. Received my 2nd AOR in 1st August 11. In May 2012 Singapore VO asked additional document which I already sent. Now I am being asked from my office to proceed for a course abroad along with my family in China for 1 year. I hope my MR will be within this 1 year. Now if I go to China, can I do my medical there ? I will be unable to come back to Bangladesh for doing medical within the specified time given by VO (if the MR comes). But of course, if I get PR visa, I expect to leave my job and proceed to Canada within the medical validity time. I can also cancel my course and wait for MR in the country which I don't prefer (In case....MR does not ....). please advice the best solution........regards....

As you have a relative / friend there it would cost you just $5. Its very easy. Your relative / friend will order this on your behalf and he will be the requester. It can be done by email and your relative / requester can send scan copies of everything. Your relative / friend will receive CAIPS / GCMS notes in his email.

First fill the following form but your relative / friend will sign it as he is the requester.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

Then you will have to fill this consent form and sign yourself

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

Now according to latest IMM5563E form you can even pay fees online if you are not living in Canada and there is no need to fill any credit card form. Pay fees online, get receipt, fill it and then scan and attach with application. Its very easy. Go to section C of the following form then follow other links given below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf  (See section C)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/epay/lineofbusiness.do

After payment take 2 copies of print out of receipt. Keep one copy for yourself and attach other with application.

Ask your relative to provide copy of his Canadian passport or PR card and copy of his recent bill or bank statement as a proof that he is currently living in Canada

Ask him to scan everything and send everything by email to

atip-aiprp  @  cic.gc.ca (Please ignore any space in the email address)

I am so grateful for your kind guidance.

As long as it takes to complete ur security checks. A timeframe cannot be placed into that. However, usually, in 3-5 months from the meds it should complete.

Congrats!
1. That's fine.
2. Usually YES, Detroit stamps on personal visitation. It'd most probably mentioned in ur PPR as well.
3. U'd receive ur PR cards at the Canadian address that u provide while "landing"  @  the POE.

All the best!
Qorax

Thanks Qorax; but I reach following link when clicked on *Instructions for passport submission* from PPR mail

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/detroit/visas/apply-how_a_demande-comment.aspx?lang=eng&view=d#mailing

Can you please have a look at content when clicked on above link as I can't see any information about PR visa stamping there in person?

Also if you can advice at what day I can visit Detroit VO if I want to go in person? Please reply as I will get it done asap.

For passport submission there is a link as I said - Instructions for passport submission
which you already read; nothing apart from that for passport stamping.

Firstly, remove ur File No. (as in Red above) imdtly. from ur post.

I still think personal visitation is accepted at Detroit b'coz I know many ppl who did so. One of my closest friends went there with bags & baggage early in the morn., got their pps stamped by 12:00 noon and drove the same time/day to Toronto, halting the night at Windsor. I'd advise u to call the VO & check on the matter asap.
