Hi,

It cannot be ascertained for sure, but most likely it'd be that ECU letter... "Wait for 6-12 months" one. I hope though it's not & u have some good news.

All the best.

Hello,

I would like to ask about the proof of funds. My father is willing to sell one of his property to give me and use as my proof of funds. How can I go about this? How can I explain this to cic? Is this qualified?

Please help me with this doubt

Dear Qorax,

I got reply from CHC just now for following documents:-
-IMM0008/SCHEDULE1 UPDATED FORMS
-IMM5406 FORMS
-IMM5562E FORMS
-POLICE CERTIFICATE QATAR - PRINCIPLE APPLICANT
-POLICE CERTIFICATE PAKISTAN - SPOUSE
-ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS

There are three types of IMM008, Which IMM008 i had to fill and send to CHC:

a-  imm0008_3e
b- IMM0008DEPENU
c- IMM0008ENU_2D_2

Original documents i have sent them earlier along with my complete application. CHC sent back the originals on my number of requests. Now again they are asking for originals. Should i send originals or photocopies?

Awaiting your kind response.

Dear Sir Qorax,

I submitted my application last Jan 2012 and received NER last April 13, 2012. I asked CIO when can I receive my refund and they replied the message below. Is it really no refund after receiving NER from CIO.

Good Afternoon:

Please be advised that your application was assessed and it was determined that the application met ministerial instructions.  It was placed into processing and failed on selection due to insufficient points; therefore, no refund will be issued.

Thank you,

MEM
Client Service Unit
Citizenship and Immigration
Centralized Intake Office
Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada

BElow is my latest email to CIO last April 2, 2012

Dear Sir/Madam,

Before I submitted my application I have this below details about the CIO processing. This is the basis of my idea that I can still refund my fees. Hoping that you could review your policy and procedure about refunding for those who got Negative Eligibilit review. We were already sad because of our refusal then another sad thing that We cannot refund our fees.
Pls sir/mam, I need and my family need those hard earned money. I am from the Philippines and you don't know how hard to live here in our country.

Hoping for your kind and favourable consideration.
God bless
Thank you so much,

Immanuel Luna

I have seen many new members a bit confused about the whole process as to when they can expect a PER/AOR/MR/PPR/RPRF. So just providing details and various stages in the current process.

Please note that this process is only for applications received by CIO on or after 26th June 2010.

1) CIO Sydney – Completeness check
Once your application arrives at CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada the first thing that happens is it will undergo a completeness check. This check will ensure:
 - That you have included all required forms
 - That any forms which have space for a signature have been signed and dated
 - That you have not left any blank fields
 - That you have included the correct payment fee
 - That you have included all supporting documents required by both the main CIO checklist, and the visa-office specific checklist

If unsuccessful your entire application will be returned to you by regular post with a covering letter. You will not get an email notification from CIO.

2) CIO Sydney – Payment charged
If your completeness check is successful your payment will be taken. This means CIO will attempt to charge your credit card, or they will cash your banker's draft, depending on which method of payment you chose.

I would personally strongly advise using a banker's draft if possible. These are like personal cheques but they are guaranteed to clear so there can be no payment problems. Most banks will usually charge a small fee for issuing one of these.

Credit cards can be risky. Many banks and credit card issuers use automated security software and when the software sees the source from Canada it may block the transaction, which in turn could lead to your application failing and being returned.

If your payment is unsuccessful your entire application will be returned to you by regular post with a covering letter. You will not get an email notification from CIO.

3) CIO Sydney – Eligibility review
CIO then perform a complete eligibility review on your application, based on the information you have provided on your forms and they will examine your supporting documents to ensure it backs up the claims you have made.

For FSW1, they will be looking that the descriptions of your duties match the description of the NOC/s under which you are applying and will want to be satisfied that you have at least 1 year's continuous employment in at least one of the 29 in demand occupations.

For FSW2, they will need to see an AOE (Arranged Employment Opinion) or positive LMO (Labour Market Opinion) with a TWP and this must be for a job in Skill Levels 0 (Managerial) or A or B on the NOC list.

For both categories they will also assess your application against the selection criteria – age, education, work experience, adaptability, job offer and language skils etc, to ensure you have 67 points. They will use your supporting documents to convince themselves that there is sufficient proof to back up the claims you have made on your forms in these areas.

If your eligibility review is unsuccessful you will receive an email stating the reasons and your entire application will be returned to you. Since CIO  have already taken payment by this point they will initiate a refund of your fees, which will likely take several months to get to you. Please note this is the last point at which you will receive a refund if your application is unsuccessful.

At this stage your ECAS status should now read “CIO eligibility review complete”.

UPDATE 18-Apr-2011: Please note that several people have been told that you do not get your application back AT ALL if your application is failed at the eligibility review stage, all you will receive is a refund for your processing fee.

4) CIO Sydney – PER issued and file transferred
If your eligibility review is successful, CIO will send you a confirmation of positive final eligiblity review. This will be by email if you specified an email on your application, otherwise they will send a letter by regular post. They will then transfer your file to the CHC/VO (Canadian High Commission/Visa Office) for further processing.

Once the file gets to the visa office (which usually takes 2 to 4 weeks) your ECAS status will read “Received by visa office”.

5) 2nd AOR from visa office
Once your application arrives at the visa office, they will sit on it for a while. When they are in a position to process it most visa offices will send you a 2nd AOR.Also some offices send by email, and others send by snail mail. There is still no need to do anything at this stage. A few visa offices, most notably London, will not send a 2nd AOR at all but will skip this and go straight to medicals, or ask for further documentation.

6) Processing begins – document background checks
Once the visa office begins processing your file they will commence with document background checks.

At this stage your ECAS status should now read “In Process” with the extra line in the detail “Your application was reviewed and we started processing on <Date>”.

This document background check will include ascertaining the authenticity of your documents, and since they use some third party companies for this it could take a varying level of time depending on your visa office, the complexity of your case, and even the speed of the individual visa officer looking at your case. They may also perform employment verification checks which will involve telephoning both you (whilst at work) and your employer to ensure you give the same answers on their questions about your employment. Only a small percentage of applicants are likely to receive employment verification. Only if they are unconvinced by any of the work experience documents you sent, or if your application is one of the random spotchecks they do to prevent fraud, will they actually perform the verification.

Visa office may request further documentation from you during the processing phase, which can come by email or snail mail. They may also ask for a few things (PCCs or fresh forms) at the same time as medicals (see below)

7) Medical requests and RPRF fee request
Once the document background checks are completed satisfactorily, the visa office will write to you (usually by snail mail) requesting you to complete medicals and also requests RPRF (Right of Permanent Residents fee). They may also ask for updated documents such as PCCs and fresh forms at this stage. Please note that New Delhi visa office will also request passports at this stage. Most other visa offices will not request passports until they are about to finalise the application.

This will basically involve your booking medical appointments at one of the approved DMPs (Designated Medical Practicioner) throughout the country.

RPRF at this time (18-Apr-2011) is CAD $490 for the principal applicant and also for accompanying spouse. So PA + spouse in total is CAD $980.

I hope this is informative and helpful for all new members. Please correct me if I have provided any wrong information

excellent post immanuel luna. quite informative. but e cas fails to show things perfectly like this in lot of case, like mine was:

"in process" - august, 2011

"centralized intake office, eligibility review complete" - after a few days

"Decision Made

We received your application for permanent residence on June xx, 2011.
We started processing your application on June xx, 2011.

Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete

We received your application for permanent residence on June xx, 2011.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on August xx, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. " - again after a few days/weeks. ( i didnt track the dates )

address appeared on 6.1.12

address disappeared on 27.1.12.

and as of now it is

"Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete "

and inside this:

"We received your application for permanent residence on June xx, 2011.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on August xx, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

happened to know that this is RBVO stage. this kind of anomalies happens to a lot of applications  Smiley

Not everybody... But in a couple of months most do get it, viz. The 2012 applicants. However, it has been noticed that 2011 applicants had a delay of few more months. Usually, if one doesn't receive it in 3-4 months - there should be a cause of concern.

Qorax

Thanks

this means I shall wait with good hope right?

hi qorax, im a silent reader of this forum, and now like the others have querries to you because i know you can help me, as i read this forum i cant see same of my case. i dont know if it is a special case.

im under MI-1 (fsw) and now after long waiting recieved my mr and had undergo with medicals last month (april 2012).sent the nbi, rprf and the updated IMM5406 (additional family information form) and the IMM5669 (background/declaration from)

after 2 weeks, cem emailed and this is what is written:

Dear applicant:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in canada under the skilled worker category.

we require the following documents and information in order to continue processing your application.
-completed Details of Military Service from for you and your spouse (please see attachment)

The documents & information we have requested should be provided to us within 30 days from the date of this letter.

I dont know if its carelessness but we signed the IMM5406 (additional family information form) and the IMM5669 (background/declaration from) as is. we did not update knowing that everything is the same since we filed our application. we just signed it as is and sent on april 21, 2012. And then this May 03, 2012 cem emailed us for the DETAILS OF MILITARY SERVICE).

after scrutinizing i noticed that the rank of my husband to be updated or to be changed to the next higher rank under the MILITARY SERVICE, another thing is he had his schooling for 3 months last year as a career advancement in the military and we did not also updated under EDUCATION in the IMM5669 FORM.

so now i dont know what happened before. maybe excitement and carelessness.

i am the principal applicant and his only my dependent.

now we are going to comply with the requirement of cem, to fill-up the DETAILS OF MILITARY SERVICE FORM and subsequently provide documents for justification. now we can not lie, since we have to write all our military service.

help me please, enlighten me dear qorax i dont know what to do. we did not intend to lie, we mislook and maybe we are that careless people. we read and read and check before we signed but still we did not noticed.

is this big deal to cem that we did not update the IMM5669 (background/declaration from)? can this be refusal if they notice there is conflict in the IMMM5669 and the DETAILS OF MILITARY SERVICE FORM that we are going to send?

thanks very much, eagerly waiting for your response

Relax!

Firstly, we all Ex-servicemen get that Mil.Questionnaire. It's the norm.

Secondly, fill that questionnaire truthfully & correctly, down to the names of the CO's & all tenures, EREs, Combat postings, TDs, use of arms etc. as has been asked, but sans the correct address of the units and their contact details. This will not hamper ur PR processing irrespective of what u mentioned, or ignored, or overlooked while filling the applications.

U r good as of now.

Dear Qorax,
Below is my post from yesterday. I know you are sick'n tired of silly 'asking for consolation' posts, but here I go again. I am re-posting it. Also, if my RPRF has been encashed, does it mean I am almost through and should expect PPR? Btw, my medicals were received at London VO on 16th March 2012.

I sent an email on Tuesday to London CHC asking them whether my medicals have been received, since my tracking tells me they were received there on 16/03/2012. My e-cas, however, was not showing the line 'Medical results have been received'.
Today i got this reply:

Thank you for the information.

It appears as though your medicals have now been received.

Sincerely,

Canadian High Commission

I have copy/pasted it here exactly as it is. A bit strange, no? I mean grammatically. Also, the whole address etc. that can usually be seen at the bottom of an email reply is not there.
What do you think, Qorax?

hi there QORAX/ anyone,

i have some concerns regarding the experience requirement in migrating to Canada.
Im working here in Dubai as a nurse. I had an employer n Abu dhabi last year and worked there for 7months (dec '10 - july 11), during the span of time i don't have the employment visa of the company, but still i continued to work with the VISIT visa. I exited the country twice just to renew my 2 months visit visa, then back to work. I' ve worked there because of the good compensation they offered me but, unfortunately the company wasn't able to give me an employment visa. So i decided to look for another employer. Good thing, I found one!

So my concern is: I am planning to include this in my resume to be able to  reach the 67 points. I need to complete a 4yr experience for single applicant. If my employer will give me some proof that I worked in there company, will it cause any problems in the future for the assessment???

PLEASE HELP!
