3-5 months, usually.
Thank you so much Qorax. Really thankful for your valuable inputs. They have mentioned in ECAS as "We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 25, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.". Which letter they are talking about? I have already submitted all documents along with IELTS, PCC and Proof of fund. Do they send any letter before sending medical? Kindly clear my doubts.

Dear Qorax, You seem the man of the match and you started this thread. But unfortunately you give some people knee-jerk response to their query while you ignore other people's questions. I humbly asked you a question 3 times and you turned a deaf ear. I give u +1.

@ FAARAX Please, dont get angry, I was once in your shoe too...I call this "Selective Injustice"...Although Qorax offer a selfless service to everyone here on this forum, but l think there is kind of marginalization to whom he/she replies. I quiet understand in one of the forum people were angry for him for same reasons... But I wont blame him/her because he/she give more efforts to this forum...so l beg your understanding, there are others who are helping too!..Just keep reading as many forum post as possible, l guess you might find answers to your questions somehow

Hi Qorax,
Need your help, request you to please answer our query as we are a bit worried. . My brother's entire family got their PR a month ago and they are planning to land sometime in June 2012, But due to some minor health issues my bhabhi(primary Applicant) had to undergo an operation which is usually post delivery and she has been asked to take bed rest for 3 months, which might delay their entry in Canada and with my brothers passport expiring in October 2012 they need to complete their on-boarding by October 1st 2012, there is ample amount of time till October 2012, but we were thinking to complete landing and then come back to India and complete the medical issues.
My Question for you is -- Will the family be denied entry as she has undergone an operation, During the port of entry will she go through any kind of security check and will she denied entry ? She is ready to complete her landing and the doctor suggested she will be fine in 30 days from today and she can complete her landing and come back to India and complete the healing process.
Sorry for writing an exhaustive mail. . . being a little worried wanted to know your thoughts sir.
Thanks again! Regards, Jack

Hi friends,
It's 1:20-AM in the morning/night here, just got-up to do some work, and in between (till my reports arrive from Dubai) I'd try to reply as many posts/queries as possible.
Pls bear with me... I usually try & reply as many I can, but might not respond to some due to: 1. Time constraints, 2. I might not know an answer (writing "I don't know" takes time as well; & where's the need?), 3. Long posts, which I tend to overlook (paucity of time), 5. 4. Repeatitive queries (which a 'search' could elicit the answers), 6. Elaborate answers (these I take time to respond, sometimes later, as they require deliberation), 7. I could miss some (human, ain't I?), 8. B'coz of numerous PMs (I reply many, most of them, but the above rule applies as well).
And remember, I'm alone - while the queries come from very many, from all over the globe... with every poster demanding assurity of response, mainly/at least for himself AND "on-the-spot". Who then go wary/hostile if it's not returned. Which practically isn't possible by me, that I reply everyone/everytime... B'coz if I had to, then I'd be doing nothing else but being logged all the time on the forums, 24/7. Regards,
Qorax Ps.: And brothers, attitude serves no purpose, right? We r performing a voluntary service here... Helping whatever way we can, without any personal gains. Thus, a response might not be generated by coercion. For which, we need to hammer our consultants - whom we have paid to reply/assist, not on the forums, where it's FREE & out of affection! Here friendliness works... Let's keep it suave & tandy. The decorum is important, isn't it?

It, probably, would be an ADR (Addnl Docs Request). Yes, they could ask us any/many papers, even if we have submitted them earlier. Besides, it could be some clarifications sought reg. B/g checks. Moreover, it also has been noticed that they log that many a times w/out actually sending any letter. Could be just a std phrase. BTW, let's hope that it's ur meds, IMM1017S. Good luck.

Hi, U should be aware that the POE examination consists of, mainly, Security & Medical questioning. Yes, that operation could elicit further scrutiny... sometimes leading to Med check-Ups thru health Canada, either on site or under an appointment in any of the Health Canada clinics. But, 99% it'd not effect ur landing. no denial involved, unless it has something to do with Public Health or Excessive Demand environs. Said that, I wouldn't recommend concealing the fact, but if it has no outward handicap/visible signs of discomfiture - u could play along, if u know what I mean! Good luck.

Dear All,
Need advice, I send email inquiry to CIC about my application and I got following reply,
Good Morning
Your file is with our office and it awaiting initial processing. You will be contacted in due course.
Thank you
D.A.
Client Service Unit Citizenship and Immigration Centralized Intake Office Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada
Now my application had already two and half months. So my Bank draft is expires on 7th of May (3 month validity). So what should I do? If they start processing after that I will get my application back. (As the same thing happen previously also)
Shall I sent fresh draft?
Please advise
Vats
Hi, Unfortunately u can't do much than wait. If it's not capped u don't have anything to worry actually. Most drafts r usually valid for 6-months, not 3. And if u beat the cap, the invalidity (if at all) makes no difference, 'coz u were good when u sent in the apps. Keep the faith!

Hi Qorax,
Do you have any information on how do FBI send back the criminal clearance (through courier or by regular post??).
Thanks!
Hi, sorry, I'm not sure. However, I believe that it returns by USPS.

Dear Qorax, As a FSW1 2151, are there any obligations after landing to work in that field, or is there any need for a proof to work in that field in order to maintain our PR and apply eventually for residency? I was told some catogories such as Enterpuneurs or investors, have to have some kind of proofs in order to be able to keep their Pr and get their residency!!!
Any feedback on the above is highly apprciated Thanks in advance Regards Guss
Hi, Once landed u could do whatever u desire... Work in any occupation, be self employed or undertake a business, or remain unemployed. It doesn't matter. This is for an FSW-1, remember with FSW-2 or with PNP u were required to be employed with the agency nominating u or give the AEO. As reg. Fed. Investors Class, the entire PR is based on the premise that u r establishing a business here. Qorax

Dear Qorax,
I got an email from CHC in Nairobi saying "Your application is nearing completion", they are saying like that for 3 months. I went through an interview on September 2011, medicals on October 2011. plse translate that sentence. farah
Hi, It suggests that ur case is yet under security checks. U get to the PPR stage only once ur security clearance is received by ur IO. I'd suggest u to keep sending infrequent mails to them. In most cases one should be able to complete the process before his/her meds expire. Only a few hit the reMeds stage, I hope u do not. Best wishes.
