Hi Qorax,
I have gathered all my documents about to post but confused.....regarding posting .....should we post all the documents listed in VO specific as well as to the Canada office to Canada itself or ?....
Should I include my application with all the documents and post to Canada.

Please, reply.

Thanks
Priya
Yes, the post 26 June 2010 applicants have to send their COMPLETE application (all documents and checklists) to CIO Nova Scotia.  Everything is clearly laid out in the Guide including the address and where to put your NOC number  on the envelope.  Best of Luck!

Dear Qorax,

I got my second AOR last friday May 06, 2011 by email.

its simple barcode on top with letter head of the Government of Canada Consulate General of Canada, below with printed "B" series then number by Buffalo NY.

but my e-case is : Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office.
They are pending review.

then without review my documents Buffalo issued 2nd AOR? does it means here is chances for any decission acceptance or rejection?

what buffalo did on my documents since last end of august 2010 to 2nd AOR date?

any comments Qorax.

1. The 2nd AOR indicates that your file has been 'provisionally accepted'... having passed the eligibility.
2. As of now u r 'in process'.
3. However, the e-Cas isn't being updated timely - so that's not being reflected.

Dear Qorax/Seniors,

We are processing the application for the Child Tax Benefit. There is a form RC66SCH (Statement of Income) to be attached that we have to declare the income for the last two years(?if im right).

Since we worked in the UAE, do we need to declare only the basic salary that was stated in our contract (which is very small as most of the other income are stated in other allowances, housing, travel, etc).

One more thing is my husband who is still went back and currently working in UAE, his company is not giving a Payslip. Are they gonna look for a proof of source of income? If he show the bank statement it will appear as overall salary (including housing, food, travel allowances, etc).

Does my husband has to pay also the tax he earned in the UAE by the time he landed in canada as PR as he is still working there?

Please help.

Thank you.

Ma'am,

1. There's no 'attachments' to be enclosed with the CTB application.
2. We r required to 'state only' our previous 2yrs' income...
3. This would be 'global income', gross, for the 'family' [everyone's income is to be included].
4. We can't comment [in writing] on what level of income u should declare [pls take the hint].
5. CRA is not going to look for any 'pay slips', bank statement or anything. It's all in good faith.
6. If u had 'landed' in 2010, even in Dec, u guys r required to file-in your Tax Returns, by 30th Apr 2011 [we all have done it already].
7. If there were no income in Canada, u won't pay anything... rather CRA will 'pay u back' something* !
8. Do not file the Tax Returns yourself -- take a CGA's help [it costs $25 here].

Hope that helped...

Dear All,
I have made an Application for Permanent Residence(Federal Skilled Worker) to " CIC-Canada,Canada,received by MIKE on 3rd march 2011.
In April 2011,I received email stating my application is under review.
On 9 th may 2011, the fees was debited from my Credit card
On 10 may 2011, I received email stating "I was not eligible for processing in NOC (National Occupational Classification) code: 3131 - PHARMACIST category, as I have not provided sufficient evidence from your employer that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties.and my refund will be sent.

I am an pharmacist and pharmaceutical scientist working in R&D with aroung 7 years of experience. My employer has flatly refused anything regarding work deatils/profile on the reference letter and has given an experience letter kind of letter for CIC.I had attached all letters like appointment/resignation/apprisal letters along with the original application.

It appears to be an slap on my face that they dont even consider me an pharmacist!

What Am I supposed to do know?
I am doing my application on my own and not through any agent. Is this the reason my application is rejected flatly and treated this way?

Canada Vs. Australia
-Purely a personal opinion...

Quote
Dear Qorax,

Hi how are you? Hope you are doing fine. We r Indians currently based at Bahrain. We got our Canadian Visa during Jan '11 and booked tickets to Toronto for July 8th for validating our visa. We got Australian PR too, during March '11 which resulted the real confusion!!!

1. Our plan is to land Toronto during July and spent 2-3 weeks there, to know the place, to see Toronto, Niagara, Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City. We will stay with our friend settled in Scarborough.

2. Will complete landing formalities and will return back to Bahrain during July last week.

3. We will visit Australia during November this year. (My brother is settled in Australia - Citizen). After staying there, say for another 2-3 weeks.... have to take final decision - Canada or Australia???

4. We know that in Canada, you have to start from scratch.... We both are Banking professionals... In Australia our qualifications and experience is valid.... and chance for getting a job is more....

5. My brother is pressuring us to settle there.... but my mind is saying Canada... Canada....

As a very senior person in this field (migration) who knows the merits and demerits of migration.... please provide your views....

S&P

1. Canada & Australia r 2 different ball-game altogether.
2. As your Brother is there - Australia would suit u better.
3. Yes, here your foreign credentials r nothing [but Aus'd be happy with them].
4. However, Aus is a smaller place - jobs r there, but the basket is small.
5. Aus'd be closer to your homeland [ease of regular commute].
6. Canada being closer to the US - u could work there as well [if that was a charm!].
7. Global Warming isn't going to effect Canada for some generations to come.
8. Here there'd never be [potable] water shortage.
9. Housing is cheaper here. And larger lots too.
10. Canada is more multicultural [& accommodating] than Aus [take the hint].
11. Canada has wider diversity of weather & terrain than Aus [if that matters!].

Bottomline: All said, u should go to Australia - plainly b'coz your relative is there. It helps a lot in settlement, emotionally, morally - if not financially.

Hope that helped !

What Am I supposed to do know?
I am doing my application on my own and not through any agent. Is this the reason my application is rejected flatly and treated this way?

1. It's not about filing thru an Agent or otherwise -- it's about 'not presenting' the application file well.
2. Pharmacist & a Pharmaceutical Scientist r 2 different vocations, did u write your JD well?
3. Did u mention @ least 75% of the duties as per the HRSDC NOC in your JD?
4. As u didn't have the current ref letter - did u do a 'self-declaration' of your duties?
5. Did u place an Org Chart - clearly identifying your position in the org's hierarchy?
6. Did u provide all concerned [incl yours] Business Cards?
7. Did u attach enough supporting docs to validate your role in the org?
8. Some work related pics [where u r also present] as well?

I'm sure u did a few of the above... but, do the rest & apply again. There's no recourse of sending a plea to CIO-NS, as those aren't considered @ that level. It could do @ the VO level though, but unfortunately u were turned down from the CIO itself.

Hope that helped.
