Hi Qoarx

I want ask one thing can you help me in getting document showing duties and responsibilities of social worker to get noc clearance and i have applied on the basis of social worker

U should be performing at least 75% of the following duties to succeed in this NOC...

Main duties

Social Workers perform some or all of the following duties:
- Interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and problems and determine the types of services required
- Provide counsel and therapy to assist clients in developing skills to deal with and resolve their social and personal problems
- Plan programs of assistance for clients including referral to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment and other services
- Investigate cases of child abuse or neglect and take authorized protective action when necessary
- Serve as members on interdisciplinary teams of professionals working with client groups
- Act as advocates for client groups in the community, lobby for solutions to problems directly affecting client groups and develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs
- Develop or advise on social policy legislation, conduct social research and assist in community development
- Provide mediation services and psychosocial assessments
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and social programs
- May provide public education and consultation to professionals or groups regarding counselling services, issues and methods
- May supervise other social workers.
- Social workers may specialize in fields of practice such as child welfare, family services, corrections, gerontology or addictions.

Dear Sir Qorax,
Yesterday my consultant told me that in my application at CIC ND one reveiw has been done and second will be done in June.After second review CIC will decide to either demand for other missing document or to send medicals.
I send my AEO with compelte documents in 2009 and in August i send another application(via CIO) with complete documents in August 2010.Now 8 months are passed after second application.Pls advise about the medicals when i shpuld expect as per present scenirio of CIC ND.

u can view your status with your file number but even then u would not be able to see your status then send a case specific enquiry through to them immidiately

1. Don't worry... the e-Cas is noted to be erratic since sometime now [due to the setting-up of a new system - GCMS]... it'd be fine soon.
2. With the receipt of 2nd file No. - that's what with u should log-on.

Are you sure that my present status is not available because of the missing 2nd number? I applied under the skilled labour category of Lecturer/Professor which is removed from the latest list. Can you plz comment on this? In your opinion when can I expect the medical? Thanking once again, Nicky

Generally speaking u should be getting the meds call after 6-8 months from the 2nd AOR.

I am a Pre-June applicant.

I received my 2ND AOR on Jan 26, 2011.  What surprised me was: I have the same Immigration File Number as my 1ST AOR.  Do you know if how is it going to affect my application?

My full application is ND VO since 26th April 2010. Its 12months +, still ecas-rbvo. I have submitted my original payslip and transcripts of my degrees. I need my originals. I have send case specific enquiry 5 weeks ago, I am unable to get ans. What shall I do? how I can get my originals coz I need to submit my Payslip to UK home office after 2months. let me suggest plz.

i have applied for canadian immigration under the skilled worker class. i had applied in july, 2004. in feburary, 2010 i was asked for original documents, which i sent in march 2010. i received approval of application on 16th April, 2010. i was advised by chc islamabad to wait for medical instructions.Since then its been more then a year. No response from CHC Islamabad ,despite several reminders and emails, i want to ask what is the time for receiving medical instructions from chc islamabad and also is there any hope from them for next step. As i am almost fedup of this..........
