Dear Qorax,
I have aquestion. I just got my medical request which I am going to get done in the coming few days. My passport is going to expire in January 2013. Can I renew my passport after medical, but before PPR? If I can, do I send them the copies of the new passport before PPR?
And just being curious, if one renews a passport and finds out that PPR has been sent before one gets the chance to notify CHC of the change, does it create issues and any delay?

There will be no issues.
As long as u submit the new pp booklet/s - once PPR is received - u r good.
However, if u have the time, i.e. the pps r renewed, but PPR hasn't come thru - then do submit the scanned copies of the 'new' ones to ur VO, in adv.

Would you please analys. I have been waiting for Seattle office to send me some news since my file was transferred on 14OCT12, and I checked Ecas my file was reviewed and started processing on 13Jan12. But no news or advision until yesterday they reply my email as followed:

Your file is pending for review by an immigration officer.  We will contact you after the officer reviewed Mr. XX's file. Please do not contact us unless there is a change of address or change in Mr. XX's family composition.  Please do not use the E-CAS on the website, it is not accurate and up-to-date.

Please understand that our office cannot provide you with an update of case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured that we will contact you for the next stage of the processing of Mr. XX's file.     




My QUESTION is :

They replied me said my file is still pending review by an Immigration Offer, but how come my Ecas has that additional line "Your file is reviewed and we started process on 13Jan12? I am really confused. So that means this sentense is nothing, my points are still not be calculated?

I am really so frustrated now. How long i still need to wai, its almost 2 years.

I have a situation where in my RTO in Mysore is not ready to give me the letter of authentication saying they can not give authentication to their own DL.

I have DL in book form and getting IDP from also from the same RTO. Is it sufficient?

Unfortunately NO.
U have no choice but to obtain the LOA from ur MTO - else, u'll not be eligible for the 'wait-time waiver' -- and will have to do the Canadian DLprocessing from scratch.

Beg, steal, borrow, bribe -- u must get the LOA [I hope u got the hint!].

-As a 2009 case u should expect ur file to complete the process in 3yrs++.
-Which means, this is the yr [2012] of ur file's 'actual' progress... till now u were in the gestation pd - on 'hold' - in 'queue'.
-That sentense of ur VO means nothing... it only suggests that ur file'd be 'seen' again in the next BF'D.
-On 13/1/2012 ur file went into b/ground checks... it's too early to opine anything.

Leave it blank if u had not been issued one.
Since fast track begun [2008] every applicant gets a UCI No. & a File-Ref. No. The UCI is used internally, while the FR No. is our [external] identification. That said, sometimes the IO mentions the UCI No. too in some of their correspondences [then we'd know], however - usually it doesn't concern us.
