dear qorax
need to know how this will effect to cic?
Mayank

1. The Canadian immigr programme is a long-drawn plan -- so, an/y imdt reaction is not anticipated.
2. If Liberals get to form the Govt. we should know that they r more immigrant friendly (!).

Thanks for reply...

So does it mean that CIC will work as usual with time as of now sp. of Fast Track applicant if Liberals get it ?

What do you think who will take the seat ? I think current Govt. will win .

Mayank

Dear Qorax,
I would like to share my experience to you with regards to checking ecas. Four (4) forumers here, including myself got a DECISION MADE in our statuses since March 24 up to present. Since you are very much knowledgeable about this, please advise us whether this could just be a technical error. We are still waiting for a feedback from the VO. Sad

If it's out-of-the-blue, it could be an Error.
Though most of the times we'd know the difference, 'coz we know what we have attached to our apps.

Dear qorax,
Thank you for your prompt reply. We are still hoping this might be a bug. I just don't see any reason why they give us a postivie eligibility and a 2ND AOR when in the end they would just reject our applications. I thought CIO is responsible for assessing our docs prior to processing?

When you say DM after meds, some forumers in the other threads are congratulating those who got DM after meds and await for their passport to be sent and stamped. How is that? Huh

Again, thank you and have a good day! Wink

1. Meds & PPR aren't together - except for CHC-ND.
2. My reply was addressed to the common applicants [from all VOs, except ND].
3. An e-Cas of DM is only supposed to be AFTER pps sent.

Dear Qorax, I hope you can give advice on this issue:

I am starting to gather all documents, but have a concern...
How can I prove that my grandmother who is Canadian citizen is really my grandmother? For many years she has a different family name from me and my father, meaning even in my father's birth certificate her name is different then now in her Canadian documents.

Thank you!

Hello Qorax,

My son's PP is expiring on Nov 17th.  The canadian visa is also valid upto Nov 17th.  I believe that the PP should be valid for atleast 6 months from the date of issue of the ticket.  Meaning he has to travel before May 17th (6 months before Nov 17th)

Is this rule applicable even though the visa is already issued?  Can somebody advice please?

I can of course get it renewed, but then, the current PP will be stamped as cancelled and a new PP issued.  The new PP will not have the VISA.

I am confused. Undecided  What if there is a problem at the immigration, if they say that he is travelling on a visa which is on a cancelled PP.

Please advice.

As long as your pp is valid u can fly. That means u can enter Canada till 16th Nov 2011. However, brotherly Advice: Don't delay your 'landing'... u must fly to Canada asap on receiving the PRVs.
