hi Qorax, since u have been on this forum for quite a while now, may you share some opinion on my current status. here it goes;
I am a Jan2010 applicant with AEO, buffalo AOR nov2010, transferred to Seattle Oct 2011, got married Dec 2011, got MR 1st week of Jan 2012. Me & my spouse have been living together since Nov 2010 when she arrived here in Canada as a foreign worker so technically that's a common-law union. We got married Dec 2011 & now we will add her to the application.
My questions are:
1. Can she do her medicals in advance with me since I already have my MR?
2. On your experience reading & advising people on their cases, How long will it take for us two to finish the whole process?

BTW, her work permit expired on Nov 2011. Her LMO was applied on 1st week of Dec 2011.
My current work permit will expire by the end of this month. LMO applied on 1st week of Dec 2011.

Thanks Qorax in advance

Dear Qorax,
You have got such a helpful thread for all.Thank you so much.God Bless u n ur family. Its really sweet of you to go such to such great lengths to provide us with all information.

I with my family would be coming in May 2012, before my PR expires in Jun 2012.

I have heard not to Apply for the renewal of PR , till I complete my 2 yrs. would that create any problem?

Further , I would like to enquire on SUpervisa for parents. I am planning to call my mum , who is a widow to
stay with me for sometime . I am aware that I have to get her insurance done for her stay .but with my expired PR card wld I be able to get a Visa for her.If I don' t have job, but has sufficient bank balance to support her stay , would it suffice the requirement.coz it's more difficult for my husband to sponsor her , she being his mother in law.Further, my hubby has to find a job after landing. He works he in the middle east in the bank. How is the job scene for bankers?

Appreciate your suggestions and advice.Thank you.

1. Yes, she can.
2. It'd take around 3-4 months to get her med request after u 'add' her into ur case file.

Ash.

I didn't get ur point about ur PR expiry.
R u stating that u had landed & went back to return here in 5yrs.? If that's so - ur PR has already expired [w/out fulfilling the 2yrs-in-5yrs mandatory stay].

Hi qorax, thank you very much for ur reply. I think I was not very clear in putting up my question.

My PR is still valid with expiry in June'12. Yes we did our landing back in Y'2007 but had moved to the middle east due to my husband's job and have been here since then. It's now that we have decided to move back to Canada with all our savings and start living there.

My question with regards to the super visa was that, when we arrive in Canada by May this year, our PR cards would expire in a months time from then (Jun'12). And when i apply for the super visa for my mother my PR card would show expired status. Is this ok or will it be problem to process my request for my mothers visa.

Appreciate ur advice Qorax

Once again lost in translation, Ma'am!
Did u guys stay in Canada for at least 2yrs since ur 'landing' in 2007?

If not - u have lost ur PR [it's immaterial what the expiry date on ur PR cards state].
If yes - no issues.
