Sir Qorax,
You mean after receiving the PER 6 to 8 month, or from application received date?
Because previously I read in forum that 2 to 4 month from PER date.
Kindly advice us,
Thanks,

-Not necessary. However, as much clarity ur docs have - that much easy it gets to process.
-Rejection it shouldn't be. At worst they may send u queries.

Thanks for your reply.

Kindly Qorax, I need your urgent help, read my post carefully then reply..I applied on Oct 10, and CIC send my case to RVO is London on Feb, 11..
I claimed points
Edu..........M. Phil full time from Pakistan 18 years of education (25)..Also tell will they give 25 points or 22 points for M. Phil
Exp..........21
Age.............10
Spouse (B.Sc) and Blood Relation.............3 + 5
IELTS.............................8
Total ===with 25 points of M. Phil and blood relation is 72
Total ===with 22 points of M. Phil and with out blood relation is 64

On 4th Jan, 12, I received an email from RVO, they asked some more prove of my blood relation..Actually my uncle has Canadian immigration so I claimed 5 points..But the problem is that he (my uncle) has shifted to America in 2004..but have some property in Canada.
With my application I submitted utility bills and other documents as prove but now they demanded some more documents which is as under:-
•   Provide official, objective, legible documentation to prove that you are related to your relative.

Documents should include birth certificates and marriage certificates. The certificates must state the parents' full names. You must provide certificates for each person that links you to your relative. All documentation must predate your application. Affidavits prepared for the purpose of your application will not be considered conclusive evidence of your relationship.
•   Provide proof that your relative is living in Canada now.
This should include: pay slips issued to your relative by their employer in Canada, Canadian income tax documents (recent Notice of Assessment), credit card and bank account statements in your relative's name showing transactions that occurred in Canada. We will not accept utility bills, telephone bills and property ownership documents as conclusive evidence that your relative is living in Canada.

Today i talked my uncle and he said he can not provide any proof that he is living in canada..so what the Visa officer will do..will reject my case or do not give blood relation points?HuhHuh
Kindly brother help me I am very much worried..waiting for your reply

If i may advice you.
The CIC requires three proofs for if you are claiming points for relatives in Canada

1. The proof of their PR/citizenship.
2. The proof that they are currently residing in Canada.
3. The proof of your relationship with him/her.

Now it seems that you may not be able to provide proof number 2, hence i am afraid you arer not eligible to claim 5 points on this basis.

hope this helps.

For 2011 cases, the std time is 6-8 months from PER, for all VOs. U could get it earlier [for that matter later] too... depends on many factors.

Captain Qorax,

Question 1
What is the difference between AOR and file transfer ?
I have received the letter from NDVO saying that they have confirmed receipt of my file.
Is it the file transfer itself ?

Question 2
from beginning only(Since I have received PER) my E-cas status shows "In-Process"
no change in it yet.
and when I click there appears only one line
"Your application for permanent residence received on xx August,2011"
Why is it so ?  Roll Eyes

1. AOR=Acknowledgement of Receipt... usually sent as a separate doc. However, since 2011 it has been noticed that many CHCs do not do so. And if u do get any corresp from the VO - it should indicate that it's a AOR [else, they wouldn't correspond in the first place].

2. It's just that the e-CAS & the actual processing aren't in sync.

@ coollover
I'm afraid u r heading for a rejection for want of 67. Yes, u wouldn't receive any adaptability points there for the fact that ur relative isn't in Canada [that's an IRPA requirement].

Regrets.
