Hi Qorax!

I got my immigration visa on 12.12.2011! Thanks for reassuring me about the second medicals. During the entire process, this was the only time I was a bit worried.

Hi,
My husband applied on 27th march for PR FSW in the Accomodation Manager category, which was removed almost a month later from the FSW categories. He received his AOR on 3rd dec. From then i have been checking the ECAS status, it showed application received. Now last week it showed Decision Made. We haven't received our request for meds. Does it mean that the application has been rejected?
Thanks

Hi Qorax
Me and my wife has a 10 year multiple TRV for Canada expiring in 2021
After giving us immigrant visa do u think they will cancel our TRV

No. But does it matter? As a PR u'd be entering Canada thru your PR cards anyway.

Usually it means rejection, however we have noticed in the past that sometimes this DM @ CIO level could be either of the two also:
1. DM from their side after PER & the file forwarded to a VO.
2. System glitch.

Pls await for their written notification & PRAY !

Hi advanta1,

The CIC web PCC section http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp informs
"The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application"
If you have submitted the application to CIO (received by them)with in 3 months of PCC date, It's fine.
From your time line it is clear that you have already got your PER and file transfer is also over.
You need not worry, you are safe.

Hi seniors,
The current caps list on CIC website for my NOC (2121) indicates 427 apps filed as of 13th December. It'll take at least a week to get ready to finally mail my app to Sydney NS VO. Some forum members told me its no use applying now and the current numbers on CIC site indicate the number of apps received till late sept. 2011. What do you think? Should I go ahead and try my luck or wait till july 2012. Can any one give the percentage probability or some measure regarding my chances of landing in the cap limit  Huh .
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply sir. So you think there is no use trying now?
Then i'll apply as soon as cap reopens july 2012.
the following documents are yet to be obtained :

1- Work experience letters ( I am currently working in NOC 2121 with 2+ years experience )
2- POF letter from bank
3- Police verification
4- Relationship proof (husband's brother in Canada)
5- Photographs
6- Translations
Which of these do you reckon I should obtain ASAP (the ones which could be 6+ months old when i apply).

Another query ( As if i haven't already asked too much  Smiley ), I do not have education in the same field as my NOC, that is, I do not have any biological sciences degree, in fact i am bachelors/masters/PhD in Physics. But part of my job description matches with the one given on hrsdc website for 2121. Would this have any negative impact on my application. I am currently doing research work in biophysics which qualifies as biological scientist. What do you think about this.

Thank again for your time and effort.  Smiley

Yes it should be in CAD$ and in my opinion u can get it from any bank who is dealing in foreign currency account. In Pak we can get it from Dollareast, Money grams, American travellers bank, STD and so many others.
