Hi everybody,

I have a question regarding "Proof of Admission" as stated in the "Document Checklist" under section 8 "Travel documents and passports":

I have been living in the United Kingdom for over 3 years now and am not planning to move back to my home country so I will request my visa office to be London. This is what is says in the document regarding having another visa office other than that of your home country:

If the visa office you have specified for processing your application is not the visa office responsible for your country of nationality, provide proof that you have been lawfully admitted for a period of at least to a country for which the specified visa office is responsible.

Proof of lawful admission is in the form of a stamp in the passport or a status dacument issued at the Port of Entry or other place of admission.

Submit photocopies of:
- current or expired entry/exit stamps in your national passport, and
- current or expired status documents indicating the date you were admitted and the validity.

My problem is that I am a EU citizen (my home country is Austria) so I can live and work anywhere in the EU without a lawful admission document therefore I don't have a stamp in my passport or documentation of admittance to the UK. Do I still need to proof that I have been living here for the past three years? I only have my pay slips that state that I have started working at a company in the United Kingdom over three years ago and obviously I have utility bills to show that I have been living here.

What document should I send with my application to proof that I have been living in the United Kingdom for the past three years and is it even necessary?

I hope somebody can help!

Dear Sir, would you kindly reply to my queries!

1. It is generally said that job telephonic verification is generally done after in process stage , but as seen in the sheet, mostly the same is seen to have been done before change of status into in process. What is the fact?
- It could be done anytime, from a couple of days of the apps package receiving at VO - till the meds. What the e-Cas state is immaterial.

2. In such verification what usually is asked, desig., salary, period of service, etc. or also job duties? They may ask anything but how much and what is commonly asked, please?
- Depends on the perception of the VO & your documentation.

3. I am prejune, 4131, submitted my complete docs in Aug 2010 in London vo, had my AOR in Aug 2010, my ecas changed to in process in the end of Sept 2011. My employer has not had any phone call so far. Does my timline show my job verification has most probably been waived or not, please?
- Probably YES.

4. I, to show my job evidence, have submitted my job contract, reference letter, salary slips (2), training cert., but not employer visiting card, as he then did not have the cards which I have explained that my principal had no uch cards at the moment, and if required, I would provide the said card by requesting my employer to get these cards printed.
My query is if not providing the said card would have any negative effect regarding satisfying vo!
- No issues there [many school/college staff do not have business cards].

5. In my reference letter, the word FULL-TIME is mentioned, but not working hours. Is that quite ok/acceptable, or it may cause problem?
- Perfectly alright... in any case, if they desire - they'd enquire.

Master Qorax

Today my ecas is showing Decision Made.
As we have not received our PPR I called our consultant.
He told me it will take a couple of days to get the letter.
They are closed for EID.
Is it a good news.
We are keeping our finger crossed.
Please reply.
Regards
mycan

Thank you Qorax for this quick reply! Do I need to write a covering letter to explain why I am sending these documents as well? And do they have to be originals or are certified true copies enough?

Canadian citizen 100%.
Read This:
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
In general, everyone born in Canada from 1947 or later acquires Canadian citizenship at birth. The only exceptions concern children born to diplomats, where additional requirements apply.

Most persons born in Canada before 1947 acquired Canadian citizenship on 1 January 1947 if still living at that date.

Section 3(2) of the Current Act states that Canadian citizenship is not granted to a child born in Canada if, at the time of his/her birth, neither of his/her parents was a Canadian citizen or Canadian permanent resident and either parent was a diplomatic or consular officer or other representative or employee of a foreign government in Canada or an employee of such a person.
