Hi, I sent my application for Federal Skilled Worker in july 2nd, and until now, 3 months, my credicard has not been charged with the fee yet, and I have not received any email or letter from them. No contact at all in 3 months, should not they have at leat charged my credicard already? or is this wait for the first contact really more than 3 months? How much time should I wait for them to contact or charge my credicard with the fee? and if the waiting time expires, how can I contact them to know whats going on?
Thanks for the wonderful service you provide us my friend!
Have a good day!
Sayan
U should be hearing from them anytime now.

Dear Qorax, my address disappeared on 27th sept, 2011, and status turned from RBVO to In Process, with the same RBVO details inside!
My timelines and details are: noc 4131, complete application submitted in june 2010, 2nd aor in august 2010, ecas, vo london, my country Pakistan.
Any insight/input/ideas as to what is going on/what does that signify? Is it really in process or a system error? How long is it currently taking to get medical after in process?
Thanks and regards,
Ghafoor
There's no error in the e-Cas status of 'in process'. However, how much time hereon it takes for the meds cannot be correctly opined... 'coz there r many factors determining that. Nonetheless, the usual/general timeframe should be 3-5 months. Qorax

Dear Sir,
I have received a letter from Manila VO about interview schedule on October 25 but only my CLP is required to attend. I am here in the US right now and I am the principal applicant. The letter said that my CLP should bring any documents pertaining to our common law union starting January 6, 2009 (which should have been January 9, 2006 as supported by documents such as residency certificate, statutory declaration, and lease contracts).
Is there any possibility that the reason for interview has something to do with the date (which is obviously incorrect)?
Will my VO, by any chance, conduct a phone interview with me just to validate answers of my CLP's interview?
If everything will go smoothly in the interview, how long can we expect for the MR?
Thanks sir!

Illustrious Qorax, it is for my brother! Would you please take time replying me!
How many points, in minimum/at least/to be on the safe side, would be given for following education, from Pakistan?
Matric (10 years education), school/classes attended for full two years, character certificate certifying full-time attendance got from school, but due to taking exam in parts, board certificate has got the word PRIVATE on it!
F.Sc. (12 years education), school/classes attended for two full years, character cerificate certifying full-time attendance got from college, but due to taking exam in parts, the cerificate has got the word PRIVATE on it!
B.A. (14 years education) done as a regular student!
M.A. (16 years education) done as a private student, without attending classes, from a recognized body!
B.Ed. (1 year education) done as a private student, from a recognized body! (Both M.A. and B.Ed. certificates do not carry the word PRIVATE on them!
Thanks and regards,
Ghafoor
Quote from OP-6:Pursuant to R78, officers should assess the application and award the applicant up to a maximum of 25 points for education as follows: Credential and number of years of education ....................................................... Points-Secondary school has not been completed (i.e., no diploma obtained) and ................... 0 the applicant has no trade or apprenticeship educational credentials -Secondary school educational credential ................................................................ 5 -One year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university credential, ...... 12 and at least 12 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -One year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university educational ..... 15 credential, and at least 13 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -One year university educational credential at the bachelor's level, and at least ............. 15 13 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -Two year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university educational ..... 20 credential, and at least 14 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -A university educational credential of two years or more at the bachelor's level, ........... 20 and at least 14 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -Three year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university educational ... 22 credential, and at least 15 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -Two or more university educational credentials at the bachelor's level and at least ........ 22 15 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studies -University educational credential at the master's or doctoral level and at least .............. 25 17 years of completed full-time or full-time equivalent studiesNote: Subsection 78(3) of the IRPR provides that points are to be awarded on the basis of the single educational credential that results in the highest number of points. For example, an applicant with a master's degree that was completed after 16 years of education, and who spends an additional year in school after obtaining it would be awarded 22 points. That the applicant spent an additional year in school does not turn a 16 year master's degree into a 17 year master's degree and would not result in being awarded 25 points. My take on your brother's case, and I could be wrong, is that to qualify one has to at least attain a min of 12 yrs of 'full-time' [or equivalent] studies. Pvt. Studies wouldn't count below 12 yrs. With just seven [07] yrs. of 'in-class' studies -- your brother doesn't qualify.Remember: I could be wrong. Thus, I'd advise u to obtain another opinion, preferably of Leon or PMM. Sorry, for being unable to suggest/opine conclusively. Qorax

They obviously have some doubts about your CLP relationship... remember, for qualifying as a CLP the partners MUST demonstrate at least one [1] yr of cohabitation... which is the moot point in this case. If she can bring-in enough documentary evidences to support your claim/s -- u guys would go smooth. Qorax

Hi Qorax, Please advise me, i was referred to you by someone on this site...
I am a Guyanese citizen currently living in the USA and out of status. I have applied for the Permanent Residence through the Canadian Skilled Worker program and have been granted a visa for Permanent Residency. I am a single parent, with a one year old daughter who is a US Citizen and was also added to my application and received Permanent Residency in Canada. The Port of Spain, Trinidad Office processed my application and my current status in the USA was stated in the application.
My concern is, would I have any problems with Immigration upon entering Canada regarding my illegal status in the US? Can i be denied entry at that point even though my daughter and I have already been issued Canadian Permanent Resident Visas?? Both of u would have no issues whatsoever for entering Canada & performing your 'Record of Landing'... Relax !U might have a reverse ban in the US though... but nothing in Canada... No Problems !Qorax

Dear Qorax,
When a person can apply for Health card ?
Is it necessary to provide them lease/rent agreement copy ?
What is the alternate option if someone is living at friend or relative house ?
Regards Mayank
In Ontario -- u r eligible after 90 days of residence. Yes, u'd require a lease agreement. However, it's also observed that they do accept your bank statement as well. Qorax

Quorax, I just received my GCMS notes by email (the new system superceding CAIPS) and there are some points I dont understand. - Under Medical, it says 1 but the status shows In progress. I think "1" in CAIPS means passed but how come status show 'not started', medical status is 'generate' - Under Criminality, also code 1 but status is 'in progress'. However, the sub section says RCMP 'no reportable trace' - Under Security, says 1 status says 'not started' - Does that mean CSIS report IS NOT REQUIRED? The GCMS is 20 pages in length but the info pretty much duplicated, I dont see Bring Forward Date anywhere. I think CAIPS was more in depth than GCMS. Any expert could help me decode the below?

Thanks and regards,
Ghafoor
Sir, u replied my brother perhaps doesn' qualify! Perhaps, communication gap!
May I elaborate/repeat a part of my query!
Sir, my bother' in-class/regular/full-time studies are 14 years! The only worth-explaining point is that in his matric (9th and10th grade) exam, he, after attending classes in school, took exam in parts, and because of that his matric certificate carries the word PRIVATE! Likewise, in his F.Sc. (11th and 12th grade), he, after attending classes in college, appeared in exam in parts,to improve his grades/score, and thus was labelled PRIVATE in his F.Sc. certificate! But he attended classes in both! AND HE ALSO GOT CHARACTER CERTIFICATES FROM HIS MATRIC/HIGH SCHOOL AND F.Sc. COLLEGE WHICH CERTIFY THAT HE HAS BEEN A REULAR/FUUL-TIME STUDENT IN THE RESPECTIVE SCHOOL AND COLLEGE!!! AND HIS B.A. (14 YEARS EDUCATION) IS ALSO AS REGULAR/FULL-TIME STUDENT, AND HIS B.A. CHARACTER ALSO CERTIFIES HIS HAVIN BEEN A FULL-TIME STUDENT IN HIS B.A.!
AND THE REST OF HIS EDUCATION IS FROM FUULY RECOGNIZED INSTITUTIONS, BUT HE DID NOT ATTEND CLASSES, HE TOOK HIS EXAMS AS A PRIVATE STUDENT!
IN A WORD, HIS B.A. (14 YEARS EDUCATION) IS AS A FULL-TIME/REGULAR STUDENT!
KEEPING IN VIEW THE ABOVE-SAID SCENARIO, HOW MANY POINTS WOULD HE GET?
Would you please again take time to reply!
Thanks and regards,
Ghafoor
