Dear Qorax,

Is it true that  Background Check is completed @ RBVO stage, before "In Process"? I am a Post-June applicant.

With kindest regards.

hollowman

B/ground Checks should only be taken as 'completed' once u receive your meds.

Hi Qorax ,

Would be very greatful if you can asnwer that.

I am right now in Canada working as a software engineer for the past 15 months. 2 minths ago I pllied for my PR application  which is still in process . I applied under FSW category 2 with a letter from my employer saying that they will still keep me after I get my PR.

1. God forbid what will happen if I can not hold this job for the next 2 years(untill I get my PR).Would I still get my PR or my PR application will get rejected.

2. Because If I am on a bounded work permit how I can switch jobs . I have this question because it takes 1month to receive a new LMO + 2-3 months to get a new work permit on new LMO. No employer will wait for me for 3-4 months. Is it now impossible to get new job this way. Is their any feasible way to get WP ..

3 .Can I get work permit on a LMO on the same day in Buffalo .Because if yes then this will solve my worry I explained above.

I will be very thankful for your help.
Thanks
Andy

Hi,

I'm not 100% sure of the situation, however this is my take:

1. If u switch your present job - then that AEO becomes invalid > u r then ineligible for FSW2.
2. If u get a new employer, they have received an LMO & applied for your TWP - u could commence woking for them.
3. Then as u get the TWP > u must update your VO.

It'd be wise for u to obtain another opinion from Leon or PMM.

Your parents wouldn't have a locus standi @ Canada w/out an entry permit, so how could they accompany u? If they had a PR, or TWP, or TRV etc. they could. Else, unfortunately, u have to make-it alone !

1. Yes, u can complete your 'record of landing'  @  ON & then move to AB.
2. Either of the cities could be Ok.

Qorax

Thank you. RPRF DD encashed by VO. Does this mean any time in future we get PHEP? Completed 2 months after medical.

Hi, I sent my application for Federal Skilled Worker in july 2nd, and until now, 3 months, my credicard has not been charged with the fee yet, and I have not received any email or letter from them. No contact at all in 3 months, should not they have at leat charged my credicard already? or is this wait for the first contact really more than 3 months? How much time should I wait for them to contact or charge my credicard with the fee? and if the waiting time expires, how can I contact them to know whats going on?

Thanks for the wonderful service you provide us my friend!

Have a good day!

Dear Qorax, my address disappeared on 27th sept, 2011, and status turned from RBVO to In Process, with the same RBVO details inside!

My timelines and details are: noc 4131, complete application submitted in june 2010, 2nd aor in august 2010, ecas, vo london, my country Pakistan.

Any insight/input/ideas as to what is going on/what does that signify? Is it really in process or a system error?
How long is it currently taking to get medical after in process?

Thanks and regards,

Illustrious Qorax, it is for my brother! Would you please take time replying me!

How many points, in minimum/at least/to be on the safe side, would be given for following education, from Pakistan?

Matric (10 years education), school/classes attended for full two years, character certificate certifying full-time attendance got from school, but due to taking exam in parts, board certificate has got the word PRIVATE on it!

F.Sc. (12 years education), school/classes attended for two full years, character cerificate certifying full-time attendance got from college, but due to taking exam in parts, the cerificate has got the word PRIVATE on it!

B.A. (14 years education) done as a regular student!

M.A. (16 years education) done as a private student, without attending classes, from a recognized body!

B.Ed. (1 year education) done as a private student, from a recognized body!
(Both M.A. and B.Ed. certificates do not carry the word PRIVATE on them!

Thanks and regards,

Ghafoor

Hi Qorax, Please advise me, i was referred to you by someone on this site...

I am a Guyanese citizen currently living in the USA and out of status. I have applied for the Permanent Residence through the Canadian Skilled Worker program and have been granted a visa for Permanent Residency. I am a single parent, with a one year old daughter who is a US Citizen and was also added to my application and received Permanent Residency in Canada. The Port of Spain, Trinidad Office processed my application and my current status in the USA was stated in the application.

My concern is, would I have any problems with Immigration upon entering Canada regarding my illegal status in the US? Can i be denied entry at that point even though my daughter and I have already been issued Canadian Permanent Resident Visas??

Dear Qorax,

When a person can apply for Health card ?

Is it necessary to provide them lease/rent agreement copy ?

What is the alternate option if someone is living at friend or relative house ?

Regards
