I wrote to the London VO:

Subject: Case Progress Update

Illustrious Sir/Madam,  I am writing this to have a chance of the pleasure of my Case Progress Update!

My details are:

Name: Ghafoor
File No.: ------------------
Date of Birth: -------------
Complete Application Reached London CHC: June 21, 2010 ecas Status: Received by Visa Office, Not In Process!

Reverend Sir/Madam, it is now going to be about 15 months since my application reached this London Visa Office, but I have had not the great pleasure of hearing from your great honour, despite the fact that the standard time given for the processing of our applications in your official website is now 20 months, from which I am only  5 months away!

Sir/Madam, I would feel more than obliged if I could have from your gracious honour the Real Status of my application, NOT THE STANDARD REPLY, PLEASE!

Thanking you for your time and care, and anxiously awaiting a prompt reply from you,

 Warmest regards,

Ghafoor

(Address)

I received  below-quoted response:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.  Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Yours sincerely,

Queries:

1. Sir Qorax, any comments on the VO reply, though the reply is just standard!

2. Sir, can pre-june 2010 cases, now not in the 29 noc list like mine 4131, take years together to be processed?

3. They say 2 years or more! My 2 years are completing in june 2012, any prediction/idea regarding my MR time though my status now RBVO?

Thanks and regards,

Ghafoor

dear qorax sir,

i submitted my application with a declaration for work experience with my previous employer as i didnt have any salary slips or offer letter, what happened is that

i stated that i worked in that company from november 2001 instead of december 2001 as i didnt remember the date of joining, i recollected the correct date of joining as december 2001 only after submitting my application on 15 september 2011

i worked in this company for a short duration only ie from december 2001 to august 2002

this work experience is not related to NOC category what i have claimed in the FSW application

so what will happen now will my application be rejected or any other problem will raise

Hi there,
I got my PR on 17th September,2010 alongwith my husband who lives in USA.After getting it,I sent my hubby's passport through courier. But unfortunately, the passport was put on hold at Mumbai custom office with the fact that Indian passports can not be couriered like this and it is illegal. My hubby and I are deeply worried about its consequences.
Here I want to ask to the experienced members of this forum that what will the custom office take action against me and my husband? What should be done at our side so that we can get my hubby's passport back?
and last but not least, what are the safe ways to send him passport to USA so that he can come back to India and can celebrate this Diwali with us?
Pls help me guys it's really a crucial period.Thanks.

They opined/advised correctly... the pre 26/6 applicants'd take a different path/timeframe to process 'coz their queue is different. And the applicants not in the 29 list have no priority... they'd take the worst beating in Canadian PR as of date. U could expect your case to finalize in 24-36 months.

Nothing to worry about as long as u could 'see' your case on e-Cas. They might be updating the system.

1. U should have known that u cannot send pps out of India by mail or courier.
2. U could send it only by personal carrier... thru some friend or relatives flying out of the country.
3. Try & visit the Bombay Customs to sort the matter out. Plead unawares... provide them a 'solemn declaration'.

I am thoroughly confused.

Do I need to fill up a certain form and send it with my Demand Draft's for RPRF at CHC-ND?

CHC-ND has sent a letter along with Meds and askd me to submit PPs and RPRF.

But the entire package does not contain any specific "Permanent Residence Fee Payment Form".

Again, the letter says "Please send the following info in a single package within 45 days
from the receipt of this letter and return "this form" with the requested docs"?

What form is it talking about? Is it they are referring to the letter as the form?

Pls suggest asap. I am ready with everything, but could not find a RPRF Payment Form anywhere on the CHC website.

The website only contains IMM 5612, which is a Visa Fee Payment Form.

Relax, give it a few weeks more & u'd have your PPR. It usually takes around 10-12 weeks from the meds furtherance.
