Qorax,

Received 2ND AOR Jan. 31,  ECAS status "IN PROCESS" (Pending Review).   What does this mean?   Has processing begun or file has not been opened yet?   I thought CHC  reviewed file before issuing 2ND AOR.   Any guess on time to medicals if everything is in order?

Thanks.

Don't get bugged with e-cas much. Usually by 4-6 months from the 2nd AOR u should be hearing from them.

Addition of Newborn Baby/ies

After the 2nd AOR/PER, anything & everything must go to the VO [not to CIO-NS]. And always remember to write a Cover Letter. As soon as the baby is born - Register the Birth [obtain a Birth Cert... hospitals will assist u with it, but the onus of getting the B/Cert shall rest with the parent/s] & Apply for his/her Pps. As u receive the pps, send the following to your local CHC [your VO]:

1. Forms:
•Schedule 1: Background/Declaration Form [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 1]
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008_1e.pdf
•Additional Family Information Form [IMM 5406]
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.PDF
•Fee Payment Form [IMM 5620]
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5620E.pdf

2. Passport copies
3. Birth Certificate
4. Bank Draft [$150]
5. Cover Letter

Pregnancy - u don't need to info the VO... But, "Delivery" - u must.

The meds should come by 4-6 months of the 2nd AOR, a delay of further 2-3 months could be possible [case-to-case basis] due to b/g checks... some cases take a bit of extra time.

If u r beyond 9 months to the 2nd AOR - send them intermittent emails, enquiring a "case progress update".

QORAX,

I want to apply for a study permit for my son. I was made to know that Convincing the Visa Officer that an individual will leave on completion of the course is the cause of many rejections. Others have suggested providing that you have a property, an awaiting job on completion of course in home country, Family(wife and children) etc. my son is 16 and does not have any of that,  i would be the one sponsoring his education. What do i need to provide to convince the Visa Officer that he would leave on completion of his course?

Dear all,

I did my medical in December and submitted the landing fee and one year bank statement in the same month but today I heard from the Agent that the visa office has again wanted ONE YEAR YEAR BANK STATEMENT which I gave in Jan.It really sounds strange to me. I was eagerly waiting for PPR while they want me to give the Bank statement again. I am really worried because of it. At present the amount in the bank is one third which I showed to them.I am worried now. Please share your experience to make me happy or guide me.

Thank you
