Dear qorax ,

I applies for AEO in Dec 2010 and got a negative opinion last month. Before that I already had a LMO.
I aplied for AEO because I was on open work permit and (which was not approved from HRSDC )that I got after studing here for a year.I searched on web and came to know that because My work permit will be approved form HRSDC , I can still apply for PR with my Work permit and LMO.

Just last week I applied for my work permit extension and from there web site it will take atleast 70 days to receive that work permit .

My only question is , can I apply my PR application now with my LMO and old Open work permit without my new HRSDC approved work permit.I can send them the work permit as soon as I receive it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it should work. However, I'd advise u to get it clarified from Leon or PMM of this forum. They know better. Send them a PM.

1. Your file is yet in the PA for coming-out of the queue.
2. Send the 2nd child's processing fee asap... the onus of delay rests squarely with u.

Dear Quorax,

I need some help . I will land by first week of October and due to some commitments I will be back to Dubai after 4 weeks . what I need to know if I can enter canada again from land border without my PR as I will leave before receiving it ?

I need to know if it is possible ? with just COPR attached to the passport or I will face serious problem.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I assume you are going to fly to the USA and travel across the land border??

A COPR and passport is normally sufficient to get you into Canada when crossing a land border.
It will not work when using a commercial carrier, ship, aircraft etc.

Why not apply for a travel document?

Qorax,

One question:  I have recently changed my job within dubai and have visited couple of new countries in past 3 months.  Now, I am currently waiting for my medicals.  Do I need to submit and update my new visa and new countries stay.. now or at the time of medicals when they ask for current information with medicals.

Seeing the current scenario.. i dont see any medicals request for 6 months..Sad

Thanks

My situation goes like this..

We received your application for permanent residence on September 23, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 26, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 8, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

First passports were sent in the month of April but in June month they returned my passport as lamination was not OK so after renewing my PP I sent it back to NDVO in June itself alongwith old passport and now it's Long Wait and wait only.....

I have to send the renewed passport by 23 July..

Please guide what should I do..

Regards..

Hi Qorax, after some time...

1. I can see that you often mention 3-4 months awaiting period after submitting the Medical Report. Is that period typical for London VO only, or generally for all VOs ?

2. What is the time frame for doing the medical once received the request from VO?

3. Your help and answers are highly appreciated, and simply amazing!! Wink

Hi Qorax, you missed my questions, could you pls reply...
Thanks !!
