Hi Qorax,
You haven't replied my previous message.
My VO is London - 1. After 18th July, 2011, do they still want the original BCs? The VO specific form E37023.pdf states originals. 2. I can't get the originals now because it was not issued immediately after birth - I have my notarized & legally translated copy only. 3. My only concern is if London VO asks for my originals - is it very likely? 4. I have however, also sent them a notarized true copy of the original of - my name change notification published in a newspaper dated 1989, and officially stamped. My dob is 1983).

Qorax, Could you describe what papers are included in package for medicals please? Do we have to fill them in or does the doctor do it? Could you give a brief description of the process involved once one receives the medicals?

U get the med forms, IMM1017 & it's instructions letter... > take appt with a DMP > carry a few [recent] photographs & your original pps [that ins. letter specifies all] > the DMP thereon does all the needful > he also files-in a medical questionnaire > takes your tests > prepares his report/s > submits it [to RMO] in a few days > they ask u to call-up after 2-3 days > u get a courier's tracking No. > u go online & track your MR submission > 3-4 months hence u should receive the PPR. Simple !See the forms & read all about it here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/appendix-02.aspQorax

Dear Qorax,
I need you suggestion.
I received an email from CIO Today that is NER, they granted me 63 points they said No points were assigned for a relative in Canada as sufficient evidence (such as your relative's birth certificate) was not on file to satisfy me of your relationship with person XYZ. Kindly refer to the document checklist for further details.
Here is the points they assessed Points assessed Maximum Age 10 10 Education 20 25 Official language proficiency 8 24 Arranged employment 0 10 Experience 21 21 Adaptability 4 10 TOTAL 63 100
Please suggest what to do I would really appreciate. Thanks

They'd look @ your file as the docs reach them, before the BF'D. It'd take at least 2-3 months to get the PRV, as that much time is required to get the meds 'seconded' from Ottawa & to complete the s/checks. Qorax

Qorax
Qorax, if you see the New Delhi Passport Tracking Thread, some people have got their Visas in as less as 21 days from the medicals date & 12 days after submitting their passports. Why is their so much inconsistency in the timelines with New Delhi VO? Secondly is it that medicals for applicants world-over are sent to Ottawa? As I thought the Regional Medical Centers were giving their final interpretation of the medicals to the Visa Offices.... http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/new-delhi-passport-tracking-thread-t55910.4515.html

1. There'd be a very low %age of pax who'd get their PRVs within a month of submitting the meds+pps combined. One way of looking at that is due to the 'interim priorities' released by HRSDC [they do so from time-to-time, for some NOCs]. Another look at it could be due to a KISS [Keep It Simple & Straight] case file [yes, some files, might be inadvertently, easy to process]. However, these scenarios r a rarity, I'd give it a 5-10% chance. For most, it'd take 2-3 months. There's also a queue, which the prioritized files beat. 2. Our med reports go to the RMO. It's then posted online on the CIC system. Any VO, from anywhere, could check-it-out. PMB-Ottawa has a role to play in our meds... they assess the DMPs report & issue a 'secondment'. Once that occurs; and the security clearance materializes - the file is sent to PHEP section, for the PRV stamping. Our IO's activity ceases from the day the file moves to PHEP. Hope that made some sense... Qorax
