Once landed in Canada and getting PR, is that possible that i can do any other job till my relevant professional job. Or if i want to switch my profession, so i am able to do that. Is these change of profession has any impact on my citizenship application. By profession i am pharmacist and thinking to do some medicine. Please enlighten me in this regard.

Dear Qorax, my query might have missed catching your eye hence I am asking again and  thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.  I got my 2nd AOR in July 2010 and so far I was never ever able to see my status on ecase its not working for me- I have tried it more than a million times it still says "no record". In an another forum you asked me to contact my VO which is ND. I sent them a case specific enquiry once in April and once in July no response yet, please advise what do I do as I am extremely worried as everybody else can see their status and I dont know whats happening with my case.

So late in the processing stage u r supposed to see your e-Cas... it happens sometimes in the initial stages only. The most likely reason could be improper filing of the response fields. R u filling-up these correctly?
a) File Ref / apps No.
b) Surname first then the Given name
c) DOB
d) Place of birth [as per the pps]

Nonetheless, if the problem persists your VO'd be the only recourse... keep sending them the same query.

Dear Qorax,
After receiving PR, Is their any compulsion to do job till you get citizenship.
1- If PA don't do job & only spouse do job.
2- In worst case if both don't do job but they live there for 1095 days.

Will it effect citizenship or not?

Thanks

No issues there... our employment & the apps for citizenship aren't interlinked.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).

Dear Qorax,

I read on CIC website that as of July 18 2011, a new system regarding sending AOR will be implemented. Meaning that the AOR will be automated since it is now integrated in the new GCMS.
I have sent my application on the 26th of August by courier and according to the shipment tracking, it was received in the 1st of August. I am applying as a FSW under the first category and NOC 1122. My main concern is that this cap is now half-full, and I am afraid that my application will be assessed after the cap is full and will be returned. Noting that I have used the new IMM008 validated online.

I would appreciate getting any feedback.

Thank you

Hi Qorax, our passports are already at the visa office since July 2 for stamping. Is it possible to make use of our proof of funds submitted during application like settle some obligations first while passports are at the VO? Would it affect the processing of our visas?

If your package has 'reached' them while the NOC wasn't yet 'capped' -- u r good, meaning: 'safe'.

It usually takes 3-4 months to get the PPR after the meds reach them. Sometimes it could go till 5-7 months, depending on your security checks. Your situation isn't alarming as of now. Relax.
