Hello Quorax,
My old forms were ready & good to go. I am now worried about the new forms (Inclusive of the Generic Application Form IMM0008). The CIC website states that old forms will be accepted till Nov 14, 2011. What is your opinion?

(a)Should we fill the new ones & send them or the old ones?
(b)Should we include the barcode form (IMM0008) alongwith the old forms and send them?
Appreciate your insights.

Hi Sir Qorax!

This is regarding the new form that CIC requires to be filled in.

Please help me in filling in the forms for the GENERAL APPLICATION FORM.

By the way, I am a pre June applicant (with pending review status) and I am planning to reapply.

In the form, it asks for UCI (Item No. 3).  I already have a UCI since i am a pre June applicant. However, in the forms for spouse/dependants, it also asks for UCI.. Do I use my UCI with my spouse and children or I just leave it blank?

Thank you..

Hi qorax,

Correct me if I am wrong, now only one document checklist has to be looked at for CIO, it's no more required to go through the visa office related checklist e.g. London, when I went to the London checklist, 1st it is showing Rabat and even so then it says clearly on top as provincial nominee or Quebec , nothing about federal skilled worker class. Check webpage of missions .

Please confirm , if it's so then many detailed requirements from office related will not be required and only 1 checklist has to be referred !

Qorax need your precious advice please..

Qorax,
My wife is Principal applicant,  she will be out of country on studies for 4 months with my son.  In case she needs interview or we receive medicals while she is out of country:

1) Can she have interview done in the country she is studying at,  or does she have to come back?

2) If we receive medicals while she is out of country,  can I send the medical papers to her so she can have hers and our sons done in the country she is studying at and  I have mine done here and both of us send them back seperately?

3)  Does she have to inform CHC of his trip?

Thanks in advance Qorax.

Dear Qorax,
I am recently married and my passport is on the way to reissue.
1)   Should I wait to receive my MR or send the above mentioned docu to VO?
2)   Do I need to send the notarized copies of these ?
Please reply..............

It's advisable to use the new forms... at least the new IMM 0008 [which is a must in any case].

1. U both have to take the interviews together -- in the same CHC.
2. Yes, she can take her meds anywhere -- that DMP'd know where to submit her results.
3. Yes, if u guys r in separate locations for a long duration - u r supposed to info your VO.

Dear Qorax,
If someone wanna transfer 200,000 cad$ from pakistan to canada then which way is the safest? Bank or exchange/forex company. If bank, then how much charges one has to pay for this huge transaction.
Are the forex cos. authorised for transfering big amounts from one country to another. e.g Dollar east, western union etc.
Secondly, can canadian authorities question about that money?

Thanks

1. U can perform wire transfer between the banks... it's the cheapest & fastest.
2. Anything over $100K is likely to raise red-flags.
3. The Canadian banker would intimate FINTRAC as a policy -- they may or may not query u.
4. However, your major hurdle might come from the issuing bank [homeland's].

Thanks qorax for prompt reply. I asked this because if someone wanna settle down in canada permanently and sold all his property back home & show the proof to bank and canadian authority then it shouldn't be any problem.
