Dear Qorax,

I've read through most of you threads and you really did a great job. Sorry for my ignorance as you have explained this before, however for the goods accompaning and goods to follow lists, you have siad they are the same forms but just need to keep 2 copies of each. What I'm not sure of is which forms are supposed to be complete? the B4 form or the B4A form? Please advice.

Thanks & regards, Smiley Smiley

Qorax,

Can you put some flash on condition of NOC that is going get change end of this June...will this happen or just a rumor and if NOC 0213 lists again among categories then how will it be advantage for us for fast processing? And what is actually a "Priority Basis" (If your application is determined to be eligible for processing, processing will begin on a priority basis) that was mentioned on my 2nd AOR came via email.
Thanx in advance!!!

PalNP

1. We don't know if any changes would occur & what it'd be like.
2. Priority gets to NOCs which r still in the MI List, or with interim notifications from HRSDC.

Hi Qorax,

Next month im going to my home town for abt month or so coz of some work.
My permanent address is of my home town on passport. My spouse has already got pcc done. Can i get pcc from there or wil it b a prob if I hav pcc from different state?

kg

PCCs r 'country specific' -- not city, state, province based. Thus, one obtained from any city will be Ok.

Hi qorax and senoirs.. My spouse has relatives in canada but those are his mother's cousins, relatively speaking his aunt and uncle, but are they not applicable as 1st degree relatives? Do you suggest that we include them in the application or not?? Thank u very much..Godbless

If u had read that thread seriously u'd know -- I mentioned there that the 'main' form is the B4... the form B4A is just an "extension" of B4 -- it only provides u addnl rows for listing your extra goods [which r above 8].

Yes, they can -- in fact anybody can bring-in your 'goods' accompanied by the 'previously stamped' B4.

1. It's not necessary that u 'stick' the barcodes label anywhere. As long as u mention your file No. - u should be fine.
2. Nonetheless, if u want to - then stick that label onto your 'cover letter', which should accompany the doc/s.

dear Qorax,
Thanks for all your help...
I want to clarify something. I sent my application on May 26th 2011 by courier, but I have not received any reply from CIC, and my debit card has not been encashed. I want to know what are the possible reasons for this, and what I can do about it.
In case my application is not considered, when can I expect all my documents back, and when should I start getting worried if I still do not see any activity whatsoever?
Again, with the ongoing Mail Worker Strike in Canada, I wonder how that affects our applications, and whether only snail mail or both snail mail and courier is involved.
Thank you very much....you have been such a help..

Thank you for clarifying this, as I have no idea how, but I have actually missed that point out.

one more advice, as we will be doing our landing, and staying for a few weeks, then in a year or max two years we will be coming back to settle for good. Is there a type of account where we can put our money as a deposit, or maybe just keep it there in the account, so we will have it there when we are back, but putting in mind that we don't wanna pay so many fees, and will we have to pay taxes on it, even if there is no interest?

Please advice what you think about that.

Kind regards,

1. It takes 3-4 months to get the PER nowadays... reason: excessive workload.
2. It'd take 6-8 months to get some of your docs back if u aren't considered - aka NER.
3. Canada Post strike isn't affecting that much, 'coz it's a 'rotating' work stoppage.

1. like everywhere there r 'term-deposit' schemes here as well, in all the banks.
2. U can also open one of the current/savings a/cs & keep the funds idle... anything over $5K minimum won't attract any charges.
3. U must info the bank, in writing, about non-transactions for that long - else the a/c would be frozen after 1yr.
