Dear Qorax,

I think i need your help in this matter

the good part is that I got PPR from london and the bad part is that i am residing in Pakistan as i left UK but i did not inform CHC london that i am leaving UK , so how can i submit my passport to CHC London

i have no body who is going UK now a days....

and i have also got 1 month dubai visit visa.......

or i should go for Uk visit visa.....

please suggest me what should i do as no courier company is taking the risk of sending passport to UK.....

waiting for your reply....

1. U can courier the pps from Dubai, after u reach there on visit.
2. Since the pps might take longer than 30 days to return -- u might go for the Visit Visa extension.
3. In the 'returning envelope' paste a Dubai Address [don't forget].
4. Also write your Mbl No. As well as any other contact Nos. in the UAE [Aramex would need that - for returning the package].
5. Alternatively, u might go in for a 'fresh' UK Visit Visa as well.

Dear Qorax,

I am waiting for my PPR (PPR expected by April) and in the mean while my current organization is asking me if I want to work in Canada and willing to apply for my work permit.

Questions:
1. Can my employer file for my work permit while I am waiting for my PPR.
2. What do you recommend in this situation, my medicals are expiring on May-05-2011 & Cannot stay in USA beyond June-2011.
3. Do you think that I will get my PPR by the time they mentioned in the below email (March-2011)? If not when should I send an enquiry to VO?
4. If I send an employment letter, do you think that I can get PPR faster?

Below is the last email I received from Detroit VO on Feb-04-2011
CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada so that we meet, but do not exceed, the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the issuance of visas throughout the year. As a result, we will not be in a position to issue a visa to you until April of this year.

"Ready for Visa" instructions will likely be sent to you by email in March.

******************************************************************
Regards,
XYZ

to XYZ:

1. TWP while under PR -- why not? It's possible.
2. Write the same thing to your VO -- s/he might proceed in urgency.
3. Most likely - YES. 'Coz, they might be closely monitering your case anyway.
4. Not necessarily. But a suave email request might help.

Why don't u visit your VO 'in person' - for 'stamping'?

I will deffinitely visit my VO for stamping once I get my PPR.

Are you saying that I can visit them without the PPR request? Do you think that will be OK?

I do not mind, I can drive from chicago to detroit that is not a problem for me. Let me know if that will be a good idea?

XYZ

to XYZ:

Not a sanguine process... however, note that:

There r many 'IFs' in this...
-IF there's an email from the VO stating that the PPR might be released on such-n-such date;
-IF u reach the CHC 1st thing in the morning;
-IF the Visa Officer is in the 'right' mood;
-IF your convincing power is 'good';
-IF u have bags packed in the car;
-IF u state that u r 'planning' to X-over the border NOW;
-IF, IF, some more IFs...

1. There's a likelyhood that the VO would 'issue' the PPR on the spot - as well as 'stamp' the PRV/s.
2. I know of one case who did it this way.
3. It's a choice/chance u could take - given the precarious position u r in.

All the best!

U could staple both pps together... and write a 'cover letter' explaining that.

Dear Qorax,

Is it possible to send some of our things now to our relatives in canada?  To avoid the hassle of listing down all the goods to follow in B4 form and eventually escaping from getting them from customs? Especially heavy things such as books, clothes and baby toys.

Sorry if my question sounds a little bit silly.

Thanks.

Sure u can... but, it'd attract duty, which your friend/relative will have to bear.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your enquiry.

CIC is working closely to manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011.  Since we have larger inventories of applications than limits within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must process applications according to the priorities set by Parliament.  As we have a sufficient number of applications in our high priority categories, we are not in a position to process your application at this time, nor can we predict when processing on your application will resume.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Qorax,
There is a guy who sent email to CIC London to enquire about his file and he received above reply. What does high priority categories mean? If so why other VO's like NewDelhi processing within one year. We all from Pakistan are suffering badly because of delay. I myself waiting for last 8 months after 2nd AOR for medical request, and most of us are waiting for MR for more than a year but still no response even the status has not yet changed from "RBVO" to "In-Process". When someone wants to enquire from them through email they just reply like aforementioned. What I have assessed this is purely a discrimination.
Kindly shed some light on it.

Regards

Hi Qorax Bro!
Greetings!

Ive submitted my complete docs on 3 Jan 11 (applicant of before June 26) and as of now my status shows that Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete and after i click the link i get this:

We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 5, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Sydney, Nova Scotia – C-50 office. They are pending review.

I'm confused that as status shows review process is complete but while in detail why is it showing pending review..Huh
And yet i've not received 2nd AOR..how long will it take? Embarrassed
I'm becoming nervous and quite curious regarding my processing. Please advice me what to do, do i need to mail them or wait..
and why aren't they mailing me? is everything OK?
Please help me out with your valued suggestions.
My VO: New Delhi

Expecting your reply ASAP.  Grin

Thanks

Give it 4-6 months from the 2nd AOR for anything to happen on your case file.
