How do i apply for PCC? Do i have to submit any documents to them??

Passport along with its photocopy.

Fees required by the police station

If your passport does not show your address, other docs like national ID card, Birth Certificate etc to prove your address.
Usually photo is not required in the P.S. However, its wise to keep 2/3 copies.

Better to contact the nearest station, at first, and take necessary steps as different countries have different fees and rules.

As you are MI3 applicant, u r getting priority. send those docs ASAP. your chance of getting MR within 2 months is very high if u r quick in sending those docs

i got a call from chc islamabad to submit passport as i am waiting for ppr step 2 and i don't got an email from chc london of ppr step 2 but i got a call from chc islamabad to submit passport .What does it means ?

Thnx for the info Udhayaradhya,Rehan & deba-avik..... I am from Hyderabad (INDIA), checked online for more info...

1.  Challan should be paid at any e-seva for an amount of Rs.500. Challan receipt in duplicate should be brought during the collection of PCC.
2.  Copy of online Application Form (1 copy).
3.  Copy of online Personal Particulars Form (5 copies).
4.  Clear Xerox of all pages of all passports including blank pages, ensuring the print of Dotted number of the passport, along with original passport for verification.
5.  Residential proof of present address and previous places of stay if any in Hyderabad City limits viz., (One of the following).
BSNL telephone bill
Electricity Bill
Gas connection paper
Lease deed in case of rented house
Household supply card ( ration card )
Voter identity card
Employer letter confirming residential address
Statement of bank account from nationalized banks only
Residential Certificate from MRO
 
6.  Purpose of PCC (Proof of letter).

PCC requirement letter from consulate or acknowledgment copy of application submitted at consulate for visa or instructions of the concerned country for PCC.

7.  Two different Affidavits of the two serving Government Servants on Rs.10/- non judicial stamp paper.

8.  Six {6} Photographs should be pasted on the application form which you are bringing during collection and two {2} should be submitted to the field verification officer during field enquiry.
9.  No objection certificate from the Head of the Department/Employer, if the applicant is an employee.
10.  Study certificate (if the applicant is a student).
11.  The applicant should also mention clearly the period of stay in Hyderabad City with date.
12.  If the applicant is married, she/he should submit marriage certificate.

When I filled My application forms in the beginning I didn't put my home address in (addresses where I have lived), I gave them only my office address instead.

Now I am going to provide all my residential address where I have lived in.

Do I need to give them Written explanation why I didn't use my home address ?

From my point of view, no explanation needed to change your address for correspondence. You can apply for address change normally. I did not apply for address change ever. If there is option to show the reason of address change, you must write there.

If you try to change your address in "Online services". you might see an option to put the reason of your address change though I have not tried ever. I said if there is an option/clause to put the reason, you definite put there. That's it.

HI, Qurax

Would you please advice what is VH means? I sent email to Seattle office to ask my current status, when they replied me, the subtitle is B********* (VH), i checked my email before, they didn't input the VH on there, my Ecas online shows my file was reviewed and started processing on 13January2012, but i still not hear from them, they only replied my email said :" your file is still pending for an officer to review", I am so frustrated.

Will they forget my file already? as most of the ppl have similar timeline to me are got their medical and PPR already. What can i do now?

Please guide me for the following also:

I sent my spouse PCC to CHC London with her application ...... at that time we made the PCC where she was living before marriage.

Now VO asking again our PCC, from Qatar & Pakistan....  My confusion is, My wife lived in Karachi only 3 months after marriage on new address "at my home".... If we make her PCC for 3 months only with new address would this be ok or not? 

In Addition to above point, do I need to make again her PCC on old address (before marriage address) or not ?


Please reply me ASAP..

PCC is 'country specific' not 'city specific'. So, go ahead & obtain a new one from anywhere, with any address. As long as u submit that in time - u r good to go.
