I stay in Toronto.
U could PM me ur concerns.

Dear Qurox sir

I filed my canada PR application in Nov 2005 in New Delhi. I was not married at that time.

In may 2006 i got job in Abu Dhabi and since then i am in Abu Dhabi. I got married in 2007, had a child in 2009 and we are all together in abu dhabi. But i have not informed canadian high commission in delhi about my change of job, country ,marriage and birth of child.

A few days back they sent a letter to my mumbai address stating that i can also apply directly to ontario canada under the  FSW Opportunities Ontario: Provincial-Nominee Program (Opportunities Ontario) pilot program . Basically this is some intitative by candian government to reduce backlog.

Anyways my question is as follows for the exisiting application under original FSW program filed in delhi:

1. I plan to inform Canadian High Commission in delhi about my marriage, birth of my child and new employment in abu dhabi. I have all the documents like marriage certificate, birth certificate, passport copies of my wife and son, employment contract and letter from employer in abu dhabi confirming my job with them. Should i just send a letter stating my change in status along with these documents or is there any seperate form on CIC website to be filled.I notice there are some forms on website like additional family information, additional dependents etc. Are these relevant to me?

Dear Qorax,

I got a letter from Buffalo today to submit passports in person or by mail.In addition they just asked for 2 recent passport photographs of myself and accompanying family members + Heigh and eye colour for each member (sent a form for that).

I have a plan to drive to Buffalo counsellate from Toronto.Could i proceed with my landing the same day ?How ? Do i need to take any specific documents ( bank statements / job letter / T4 slips or anything else ) for landing. They didnt mention anything on the letter.

Will appreciate your guidance.

Simp

1. Yes, u could X the border the same day u get ur pps stamped... I'm aware of many who did that.
2. All u need is the stamped pps [of course], the COPR & the evidence for POF.

Good luck.

Dear Qorax and other knowledgeable seniors;

Please see below update in my file on E-CAS

We received your application for permanent residence on April 1, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 7, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Accra office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Accra office on June 15, 2010. The Accra office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 10, 2012.

Actually sent the complete application package sometime in Sept 2010 and when I didn't hear anything back after a year I just sort of forgot the whole thing and moved on with life in general as the status was RBVO for God knows how long. I just got curious again sometime last month and looked at E-CAS and saw the new line of processing which sort of got me interested in the whole venture once again.
My questions are:
1.Will I be considered as Pre June 2010 candidate or after since my complete package was sent in Sept 2010?
2.If I am considered pre June 2010; the processing date of 22 months for Accra VO, will that be from June 15 2010 when the file was transferred or from Sept 2010 when my complete package was received?
3.What is the best estimate of a time line to expect MR?
4.What is the best estimate of time line to expect this whole process to come to an end? Is Sept 2012 realistic for one to expect to land or that is too huge a dream / expectation.

Thanks all for your time and answers

1. U'd remain a pre-Jun applicant.
2. That processing time is the best-case-scenario. Might not hold good for everyone.
3. By 24 months u should expect ur meds. The count starts from the day ur 'complete' file was recd @ VO [not CIO].
4. It could be... but not assured. U could look at it with +/-6 months.

All the best.

U have 30 days [from the date of the rejection letter] to do that. And 60 days to approach the judiciary, if u wanted to. For the plea letter [30 days] an email would be Ok too, but remember: u got to have serious grounds [documentary proofs] to draw their attn towards ur exp claims.
Appreciated Master!
One last thing captain can u get me the e-mail address of the program manager/concern to put my plea on for reconsideration. Cheers!

Dear Qorax,
What does it mean that there is no mention about file transfer means this line is missing
Intial application date June 2010
First AOR 2010
Second AOR Jan 2011
Pending Review
In Process March 12
All the friends status shows file transfer line. But in my case there is not mention any thing about? What does it mean? Is it normal or somewhat different situation?
I hope some clarification about this quandary.....

Hello Friends,

FYI only,

source:nationalpost.com

The reforms reflect a pledge made by Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the World Economic Forum in which he said that economic concerns would be the primary driver of Canada's immigration policy. “We will ensure that, while we respect our humanitarian obligations and family-reunification objectives, we make our economic and labour force needs the central goal of our immigration efforts in the future,” he said.

Among recent immigrants, the unemployment rate stands at 12%. Meanwhile, severe labour shortages persist — particularly in the resource and construction booms of the West. The country's labour situation is becoming “desperate,” the Canadian Chamber of Commerce warned last month, estimating that the country faces labour shortfalls of up to 500,000 workers over the next 10 years.

Three weeks ago, the Alberta Coalition for Action on Labour Shortages, a group of major Alberta employers, met for their first meeting. “If there is going to be any limit to the growth in Alberta, it is the lack of people to fill jobs,” Tim Shipton, president of the Alberta Enter-prise Group, said in an interview at the time.
