Dear Captain Qorax,
I have a query and I need you to kindly answer it for me please
My wife has done her original medical with all of the family members in Aug 2011 and then she has appeared for another medical furtherance exam on Jan 10th based on CHC London request, my question is how long should we wait for the PPR after the furtherance providing that the first medical expiry date is in June 2012 for my baby son
Thanks

Offcourse the seniors will throw more lights on ur query, but what I know is it depends upon ur security background checks and if CIC receives it on time , U will get the PPR as soon as otherwise in some cases the people had been waiting for one year and did their re-medical.

Don't worry and U will get soon and patience is the only solution for that.

My friend went  to Canada on student visa  they are  not pr  but their children are citizen of Canada by  born.
Now my question is that can the children of my friend can bring 5  point to  1st blood as they got Canadian passport though they are not adult

1. They [their kids] are not Canadian Citizens. -pls refer below:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Citizenship by Birth in Canada

In general, everyone born in Canada from 1947 or later acquires Canadian citizenship at birth. The only exceptions concern children born to diplomats, where additional requirements apply.

-Children born to residents holding TWP [temporary work or study permits] are not citizens at birth.
-Most persons born in Canada before 1947 acquired Canadian citizenship on 1 January 1947 if still living at that date.

Section 3(2) of the Current Act states that Canadian citizenship is not granted to a child born in Canada if, at the time of his/her birth, neither of his/her parents was a Canadian citizen or a Canadian PR [permanent resident] and either parent was a diplomatic or consular officer or other representative or employee of a foreign government in Canada or an employee of such a person.

However, should the immigration status of the parents of such persons change to PR [permanent resident] subsequently, while residing in Canada, they may be granted citizenship immediately, or when the parents acquire citizenship through naturalization, at the discretion of the CIC [Citizenship and Immigration Canada].

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Even if they were - they yet cannot give u the points, Why?
B'coz, they [the kids] need to demonstrate that they r financially capable to assist in ur settlement here [in Canada]. How do u propose to do that?    -Catch-22, is it?

Sorry, for sounding in-optimistic...

1. CIO might not respond to ur query.
2. 347/500 is dicey. But if the cap didn't show-up for a month from the day ur apps reached u could be 'in'.

Pray!

Hi Qorax,

There was a topic in this forum, June 2011 applicants, about the interview cases. I've read there that most of the couples invited for interview were the newly married once. I have a concern about my status. My husband previously, in 2010, had applied for Canada immigration but he didn't complete his application. Same year he divorced his ex-wife and we married early 2011 and June 2011 i applied as main applicant for FSW1 since his occupatiion were no more in the list.
My question is will VO ask for interview or not, as per your experience?
Kindly advise me,
Thanks a lot,

Hi Qorax!

A friend of mine is planning to apply for PR under NOC 4152. She is appearing for IELTS on Feb18 which means by the time she gets her results it is end of Feb. She can send in her completed application only by March 1 week at the earliest.  4152 has reached 395 already. Do you think it is worth taking the risk? Kindly advice.

Regards

PS; Thanks for replying to my PM earlier Smiley
