Hi I m on RBVO stage.my visa office is Singapore.I showed 21000CAD at the time of application. Now if I do fix deposit the money that I showed as POF, do I need to inform SGVO in advance or should I wait upto mr when they will ask for updated pof,or should I avoid the plan of Fi deposit??please advice me,I m march 2011 applicant
Hi casayed, As long as you have the money in your name either in savings bank/fixed a/c it is OK. You are getting better intrest in fixed deposit & increase it to CAD 21000+. VO wants to make sure the money is yours and not collected from others on loan just to show proof of funds. Keep transfer vouchers / bank certified letters to prove the same. Also chances of VO asking again for updated proof of fund is very lean to nil if they get convinced with your original submission of bank certified letters & 6 months statements. They used to ask in pre 26/june/2010 cases as they take more than 2 years to process the cases. Now it takes 8 to 12 months for application to PRV. Hope this helps you to take decesion. mycan

I guess still you can clam 5 points. He is in Canada and on legal PR of the province of Canada (Saskatchewan)
Regards
Thanks Jhon, I guess, your guess is not just a guess and I hope there must be experience behind this statement. I consider your point and this way I am eligible to file PR under Federal Skilled Worker as everything else is clear to me. Now I am banking my future on your guess. LOL. Thanks once again. Regards, Dilawer

our vo is manila philippines, it is our second time application our first application was file closed because we did not submit anything with the 120 days given to us but the problem is that how are we going to pass the required documents if we do not receive the letter informing us to pass the required documents, i did everything for our file to be reconsidered again but nothing happened. and this time the processing is really so fast i am so surprised with what is happening with our application,THANKS SO MUCH TO GOD!

HI GUYS, i have the same question, well, almost...
in the new forms it said that you can include 5 dependants and i have included my 2 nephews and 1 niece but i have checked they are not going with us yet... is this possible? all kids are below 18 years old... because the guidelines says if they are not in the original forms when you first filed for PR, then you cannot petition them later... am i correct in this understanding?
Please seniors help and thank you

Dear Qorax and all,
CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT.
I have one query related to points awarded for blood relation. Sir, I have close relative in Saskatchewan and I want to apply for FSW as I am Pharmacist. I want to know whether I will get 5 points of my relative who is in Saskatchewan to file case for Federal Skilled Worker and for destination other than Saskatchewan; like Ontario/British Columbia.
Regards,
this is from the website of CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG72.aspE. Relatives in Canada: You or your accompanying spouse or common-law partner has a relative, i.e. parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, child of a parent, (sibling), child of a grandparent, (aunt/uncle), or grandchild of a parent, (niece or nephew), who lives in Canada and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Dear all ,
I have gone thru this web site and found it very helpfull.
i have a question to ask, if u cud spare some time to answer this then it will be very nice of u. i had applied for canad immigration thru a consultant in dubai, i made the draft dated 01 dec 2007, and gave my documents to consultant in the same month. i received the file # from High commision of canada on 11 mar 2008, but the immigration section has stamped the date as 05 mar 2008 i feel this is the date of sending the file # from london office. and the receipt for receiving the money was dated 29 feb 2008.
since then i heard nothing from them, and my consultant has been saying that its delayed for indefinite time. i m an accountant by profesion but when i applied at that time there was noproffesion list so it didnt matter, and i was wondering about the buffer date of 27 feb 2008 and where do i fall, my consultant has said that i m ok but the case is delayed. i wanted yr opinion.
Kind regards
Hanif

Hi Qorax,
1. Generic Application , 3rd Column "How many family members including you are in this application" . Does mother and father would be considered to be a part of family here.
2. Generic Application Column 10 - "Current Country Of residence" I came to canada as a studen and currently working , so what should be the from and to date, would it be the date I landed in canada (from date) and today's date (to date as there is nothing to type till date)
Thanks Sandy

Dear quorax and all,
My husabnd, child and me have been received the PR visa. Planning to move in Jan 2012.
1. My husband is the PA. He is planning to move in the month of Jan 2012. I am planing to move in April. I understand PA needs to show the prescribed POF at the imm.section at AIRPORT. is it right?
& do I need to show the POF when I land. if yes How?
2. Reg. goods carrying and goods to follow list: PA will submit the list of carrying goods as well as goods to follow at the airport( in Jan 2012). Can I bring other goods which are not mentioned in the goods to follow list of the PA?
Plz guide me
Arunima
