I don't know whats wrong with Canadian government. Every time they put commercial/ promotion about Canada, all they show are polar bears & glaciers. My wife is freaking out that I'm taking her to Arctic. Some green grass & sun would be very helpful.

That's all they have got. What do you expect them to show you? I think they should take some photos of sunny Florida and beautiful green hills of Hawaii and include them in the promotional brochure. That would attract more people to Canada.

guys, lets get real here; Canada is a cold country - one of teh coldest in the world; the southern part of Canada is where most people live; if you have lived in North USA like North Dakota, Montana, Wisconsin - the climate is probably similar.
It is a country rich with natural resources & yet so few ppl; why do you think ppl did not migrate there?

I am not sure why people did not migrate there a long time ago, but now it looks like everybody wants to migrate to Canada from all over the world. There are people waiting for years to migrate to Canada and before Canada started the new selection criteria, there were more than 10 million people waiting for visas in all the Canadian visa posts around the world. I am not sure about the exact number, but it was in millions. Canada might have done something good in recent past to attract that many people.

I agree with you Nix and Immigration to canada is also the reason why the U.S. is currently  facing tech brain drain.
