I love Hooters, it brought me to Canada! I met my common-law wife at hooters! I was in Canada on business, stopped by hooters. She was a manager and is smoking HOT! 3 years and 2 kids later... now finally a PR!

Your one of the lucky ones EYY!!!

If you can get him booked with a Canadian airline, I don't think they can refuse based on age.  That would be discrimination and a Charter violation.  Note recent cases of mandatory retirement being ruled unconstitutional.
Of course he should be booked in Air Canada if he get (?) a TRV. Air Canada likes old people very much. Look at their flight attendants. Most of them are seniors waiting for retirement!!.
