You could sponsor him please keep in mind it can take up to 5 year for processing time. You have a very good change to make it to the Guniess book of world record for sponsor the oldest person in Canada

Get him in as a visitor. Smiley

Visitors can go to Hooters, too!

Somehow, I doubt CIC would refuse a visitor visa for your great grandfather. He is unlikely to overstay his visa.... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

But I also believe that not many airlines would actually agree to fly someone of this age. Even so....I just love, love, love the idea of a 99 year old wanting to visit Hooters....good for him.... Wink

If you can get him booked with a Canadian airline, I don't think they can refuse based on age.  That would be discrimination and a Charter violation.  Note recent cases of mandatory retirement being ruled unconstitutional.

I love Hooters, it brought me to Canada! I met my common-law wife at hooters! I was in Canada on business, stopped by hooters. She was a manager and is smoking HOT! 3 years and 2 kids later... now finally a PR!

Thanks for keeping us abreast of airline regulations.

I agree with everybody. Don't waste time on papers and money for something that anyway takes years(when you sponsor a parent or grandparent). Let him come as a visitor. it will be much more enjoyable for him and for you
