Hiya,

I've got the following on my IELTS and wanted to check if I'm OK to claim 16 points?

Reading: 7
Writing: 8
Listening: 8
Speaking: 7.5

overall band = 7.5

I believe you need 7.5 in one of these modules but not sure if it's reading or speaking?  Please clarify.

Hi – I am a long time reader but a first time poster.  Thank you so much for all of the information – it has really helped me in understanding this whole immigration process a little better.

I just wanted to share with everyone what I did to get a 7 on the IELTS test.  I found this Canadian site that offers live prep for people studying the IELTS.  They were great – my first score was a 5 and I was seriously discouraged about not being able to get that 7 that I needed – but after about a month of intensive practice with TalktoCanada my IELTS mark went way up.

If anyone is having problems with getting a 7 – I recommend talking with TalktoCanada – the live help really helped me see where I was having problems and what I could do to improve it.  Plus they are Canadian!

Good Luck to you all in this long immigration process!

Exact 16 Points.
