I got 5.5 IELTS overal score. Is it risky that CIO will reject my application?

anybody in the same situation please replay

yes it may be risky at the time being coz it wil easier for them to filter the case as they r jst waiting/looking  for the some weak points by their eagle's eyes but pple with vry low ielts and duplicate docs as well migrated few yrs back .so be prepared bro/sis(whoever)

FSW is based on point system. doesnt matter if u get low points in language as long as everything equates to 67 points or higher. better sharpen your english skills in preparation for interview though

Its very risky being low score in ielts, i have suffered from this disease and cured by upgrading score :-*in ielts As long as your score is below 8 points in IELTS you have High risk of rejection.

My Advice don't wait for rejection or being questioned  By VO. Go for some english couses and improve your score and chances in canadian immigration. Cool good luck

with 5.5 how many points u score. if u score 10 points with overall 5.5 then it does not matter u will be safe.

i think vo did not reject ur case on low IELTS. VO gave chance to improve ur score.

CIC gives full points for scoring 6.5 apart from listening which is 7.5  as long as ur score score range between 6.5 and 7 ur safe even 6 is not bad


he meant points (8,10,12,14,16) not Ielts band...

My score was 5.0 and i just received mu PR.I am pre june 2010 applicant.
Do not worry about that Smiley

I f you have more than 67.points do not worry about IELTS results.My case confirming that.

there is no minimum IELTS score to apply for FSW however they might call you for interview to judge ur language proficiency... but be adviced, for low score u wont get rejected so apply asap, BUT it will be riskey for next year, july 2012. MI5 will have a change on language ability. Good Luck.
