4 or 6 hours are needed to complete the landing in Toronto?

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if you can advise me how much time is it to complete all the landing processes in Toronto before I can continue my travel to other city in Canada?

I would like to travel forward the same day and reach my final destination. I don't want to miss the flight, so please advise how many hours should be left between my arrival to Toronto and my departure from Toronto. I can decide between 2, 4 or 6 hours.

it takes about 30-40 minutes to finish everything. it keep it safe you can take 1 hour.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Could you please also tell me that after my plane landed in Toronto, should I expect to stand and wait in a long queue before I can actually go through the landing process and get my next flight? Because in this case I need a little time to wait in the queue for my turn + this 1 hour for the actual process. So all together it could be longer than 1 hour, couldn't it?

It will not take so long as explorer said. Maximum 1 hour totally. But if you have a domestic connecting flight you should book the flight keeping a gap of at least 3 hours at Toronto is always better and you will not be tensed. Perhaps clearing your baggage and getting checked- in at domestic terminal at Pearson will take more time depending on the situation when you land. Any how once you land go to  any of the left side counters where it is marked "New Immigrants". There are two-three counters for them.

right, minimum time is 20minutes and maximum 1hour will take to complete your landing process, thats depend how fast is officer and you. if you ready with all documents and officer will have no issue then your landing process will fast.
I found here some people cleared landing process and EXIT within 20mints at Toronto - ON - Airport.

i agree with explorer.....it does not take that much time in landing process....

Dear Friends,

Thank you very much for all of your contributions. I really appreciate it:)) I booked my flight and I left 4 hours 20 minutes between the landing of my plane in Toronto and the other one departures from Toronto. As I need to re-check my baggage in Toronto I expect to spend 1 hour with this and remaining 3 hours and 20 min should be OK for landing.

Although I booked the tickets I would certainly be interested to hear about your experiences.
