mdarji,

If in case you are interested to come to Manitoba, try to register in this province, they will register you even if you are not a landed immigrant provided you have to take the exam within 1 year from approval of registration.

hi mdarji/aspire,
i was initially planning to register with CARNA alberta because of able to undergo initial assesment without having PR.Knowing from u mdarji that we need to have PR first in Ontario before assessment gives me second thoughts if I am to pursue it.My only worry though is all myy relatives in Ontario so im forced to be there.Canada is not like US that we may have our licenses endorse to other states  immediately, in Canada it would take 2 years before we are able to do so.

Im still waiting for the package from Ontario.ill wait so i can study the requirements before i decide what to do.Im so sad because what I want is to be eligible to work as soon as I land.

Hi char_bonel/carribRN..

finally I have received assessment package from CNO - college of nursing in Ontario.. they included hell lot of details in the package with forms to apply.. they have also mentioned along with the package in supporting documents I will need to submit canadian PR or citizenship proof.. so I think will have to wait till the I get through the PR process.

mdarji:

Really? They did not ask us to provide those when we applied to them last April. I guess this is an additional in their application requirements as I have heard some foreign nurses have been approved after applying for registration but cannot actually get a tourist visa to Canada to sit for the CRNE.

Hello Colleagues,

I know each of us have our own preferences/choices to which province/territory we want to be registered.
I just want to share with you that I filed my application to CRN of Manitoba. After 3 months of waiting, they granted me an eligibility to take CRNE and can register as Graduate Nurse without attending bridging program or any additional assessment. Each Provinces have their own way of processing their application but their requirements are almost identical (school credentials, employmeny history, ielts etc.). Since I am still out of Canada and for medical exam this week, I am planning to take the exam on Feb 2010 or June 2010 once the much awaited visa is issued.
Try to visit their website. www.crnm.mb.ca
Hope this helps.
