Hello I just want to update everyone that BET was been remove last March2011. To those people who's having their assessment recently don't expect to complete a BET. Best of luck to all of us... oh i see..maybe thats the reason why i didnt get a bet form..i just receive 2 options..to withdraw or to submit additional infos..I already sent all those requested docs..do you have any idea how long will it take for them to assess my docs? Its been 3months already since I sent all those requested docs by CNO>>

Hello jijitipie
There's no time frame, and that really sucks! I received my eligibility unexpectedly.

hi gcctocanada,
I have some questions, I hope u can take sometime to answer me. I landed last july 2010. I processed my cno application with my PR but did not send payment until 2 months after I arrived because of so many doubts, my family may not be approved. I contacted CNo to ask if I need to pay the old amount or the updated one. I told CNO that I rcvd old forms so they allowed me to pay the old fee which is $175+++ only but the disadvantage was I have to send some more information and documents which lacking from the new info they ask having the new forms..I was able to comply with all these requirements june 2011 because it took me sometime to request all those documents from back home.
I call CNO from time to time to inquire about the status and all they tell me is that I have completed all documents and that they will not be asking for anything else except that I just have to wait for the result...
I feel that the assessment is forever. I got a job as a clinic receptionist but within me I still want to work my profession and the waiting makes me crazy..
Any idea on how long more do I have to wait?
Sorry..kind of long but I hope for your answer..
hi.. where are you located here in canada? @ least you found a job nearly related to nursing profession...because here in waterloo i could'nt find a job somewhat related to nursing...

Hello ena
I wanted some guidance from you ena. I am preparing to apply to CNO. I have the first application from. I am going to fill it and send the necessary docs along with the fee of 678 can$. My transcript and job description has been sent by my college to CNO already directly of which I got confirmed today.
I have a few doubts. Now I understand that after the CNO receives these preliminary docs with fees they will send us the second set of forms, in which we will have forms to be filled in by the 1. Nursing council for registration 2. IELTS scores reporting forms 3. Forms to be filled in by the different hospitals where we worked earlier for proof of our employment with job description. (I am not sure what else will be there)
My Academic IELTS which I took in december 2008 will expire in dec 2011. I also have the general IELTS which I took in OCT 2010 for the Canada immigration to CIO. I would like to send my IELTS because one expires in December 2011. I am not sure if the second set of forms will come that early. Now please let me know if I can ask both (general and academic) IELTS scores to be sent to CNO directly by the British council or should I wait for the second set of B4 forms to arrive?
Thank you

@ lika.. hi there...well i guess there'll be no problem if you'll send both of your IELTS now...i did the same thing, i sent my GT result after a week i sent my initial application, then they emailed me an acknowledgement letter that they've got my B3 form & IELTS. I got the 2nd package after almost 3 mos. i'm now in the process of sending those B4 forms to my previous employers..whooa toxic...!!! but there's a saying " NO PAIN ... NO GAIN..."

Thank you so much faithyou.
Please also let me know if we need to send the employment details with job description from all the hospitals right from the beginning of our career or is it enough to send the details for the last 5-6 years?
I am going ahead and sending both my IELTS scores to CNO. Thank you for the timely help.

Hi Lika Regarding your IELTS, you choose whichever has the highest score per CNO requirement. It doesn't matter academic or general, CNO accepts either one, then request the British council to send the result directly to CNO even without the second B4 forms. Thank you so much faithyou.
Please also let me know if we need to send the employment details with job description from all the hospitals right from the beginning of our career or is it enough to send the details for the last 5-6 years?

It's ok if you don't have problems with having the forms filled by all the employers within and outside of your country. Of course, it's advantageous if you include all your work experience.

"If you have recently taken a language fluency test, please ask the testing service to send your results directly to the College. We will then evaluate your language credentials and confirm that you have met the language fluency requirements."
Hi Lika,
I quote this from the CNO.

Will time spent working as an LPN help in any way when registering for RN?
i have a 4yr degree in computer science and took BSN for 2 years. I spent 1.5 years as a private duty nurse and 2.5 years as an OR-RR nurse for a JCIA accredited hospital. Given that there is no more BET, will CNO grant me eligibility to take the CRNE?
any insights will be very much appreciated.
